It is an individual's right to work under a limited company.
What silly HMRC have clearly not taken in to consideration is that contractors earn substantially more and end up paying a lot more tax than similar paye roles because they earn more. What HMRC did was ignore the increase in earnings and resulting tax revenue and came to the conclusion that these contractors pay less tax than they would if they were paye. They are comparing apples to oranges but they can't see it because they are blinded by their greed.
It is very communist to force people out of working for their own companies to working as an employee. What started out as crack down on overpaid contractors in the public sector is now bleeding through in to the private sector.
How many large companies started out as one man company and grew from there, probably most of them. The impact forcing people to be employee's will have on entrepreneurship is not even considered by HMRC because they blinded by their greedy money grabbing ideals.
Very sad to see the UK introduce communist policies. People have a right to operate their own companies and charge companies for their time as they please. There is no difference between the likes of someone like BT and a one man LLC. These discriminatory regulations will help the large contractors who are probably helping to bank roll the changes. HMRC is greedy and the government does not know when to stop wasting money, no matter the damage it does to workers and of course they do it all in the fraudulent commie name of helping the worker.
If they are expecting ISP to distinguish https traffic from encrypted traffic then I am not sure how they can implement this. They can ban russian VPN, but people can purchase VPN outside of russia and the connection will be encrypted. Someone could purchase a vps or server and then run an encrypted tunnel or setup their own vpn. Nearly all large business use a form of VPN. Seems like a stupid rule and basically a way for the Russian government to clamp down on internet freedom. They fear the internet will lead to a power shift, they pretend that it is about security. The western government use the same excuse.
I have had no problems with hardware compatibility, but then I don't use any Samsung products. I have used Windows 10 since the first insider build. I had some sata drive issues and some sd card performance issues during the insider program beta stage. On official release this was resolved for the large part. I even tried a few laptops and business desktops and they have upgraded with all drivers installed out of the box. Which was a big improvement over Windows 7 where drivers had to be installed. It is still recommended to install the drivers from your motherboard or laptop manufacture. However the generic drivers seemed to be better than in Windows 7.
BT/open reach should drop the G.Fast idea and only start phasing out the copper. It is long over due and they need to stop building and modernising the network. why not just jump to 1 gigabit to the premises. Why mess around with lower speeds? The government should allow international companies like google to come in and use all the existing poles and pipes to implement real fiber/FTTP. BT even sell their Fiber product as fiber but actually it is VDSL not fiber. I don't see why laying some fiber cable has to be so expensive either and I am sure people would be willing to pay a large setup cost if it meant gigabit speeds.
I fail to see how this is a big deal? 7zip has no service and unless someone already has local access to the computer remotely they won't be able to run anything against the 7zip process. If they already have execute access then a 7zip vulnerability like this is not going to get them any further. 7zip patch it right away anyway. Just show the value of open source, not only is it free, but it is continuously audited and updated. Well not always, but a lot of the more popular projects are.
