Thumb Up

@ Wot no weels?

You sir / madam or thing get the Laugh of the Week award.

My grandad (worked for Martin Baker in the 40's and 50's and had so many stories of what went on when testing aircraft, seats, canopies and when investigating what had gone wrong when there were accidents) would have loved "test piglets".

Though he had a lot of respect for those who went up to check aircraft out for the first time. Slight dearth of computer sims in those days....

Stylophone and VLTone

Stylophone - Always wanted one of these but never found one on the west side of the Atlantic, or in NZ when I lived there as a kid.

VLTone - will be playing one in performance tonight. Original owner and I still have the vinyl carry case somewhere as well. Just did the math and realised it is now 27 years old....

Canadian Border

Lots of places where the border runs through towns in the East and here in BC there's Avenue 0 which has border markers in the ditch on the south side. Hope they put some up there and we can watch them spin until the heads fall off.

Other thought, how well would these deal with wildlife, wind blown shopping bags or other detritus, moving trees? Would love to see how they "interpret" the COPs that are generated.

Paying for 2010 Olympics(tm)

Here in British Columbia you have the option of a regular issue plate, a Veterans plate - proof required, $5 extra fee, Vanity, er, Personalized plates -application fee of $100 and an annual fee of $40, and a few other types for collectors, vintage cars and dealers.

Best of all though are the 2010 Olympics(tm)* plates - initial fee of $35 and an annual renewal fee of $25 (until December 31, 2012) - to help offset the budget overrun. See icbc.com for more details.

*With the Olympic Mountain range across the water in Washington state the tradmark nazis have been jumping all over small companies using any variant of the Olympic name. Just practicing safe IP.
