Note cheap, but cheaper than the 80% rent increase being forced on the owners because the area we used to be in has gone all trendy. More demand = higher rent, and we aren't really the type of tenants they want (been there too long, too many staff).

The company I work for has edged closer to the City and has taken advantage of this scheme - now happily using 100Mbit symmetric fibre instead of a share of bandwidth of a leased line we used to have.

Presumably the ones who are "afraid" either don't care that much (in which case, good as everyone must be happy) or are expecting all the legwork to be done for them and can't be arsed to do some research. Just like consumers of any other service behave.

DEFINITELY get a crime number from the police. Even if they don't do anything, it will help your case with eBay. I had similar - was sent a (tracked, signed-for) postcard from China instead of the electronic item that I ordered. eBay/Paypal sorted the problem out without hassle.

eBay will send you instructions about what to do, just follow them and let the process do its stuff.
