I see he wants to reduce Tax on company reserves ( corporation tax?) from 35% to 10% to encourage companies to re-patriate all those $billions held abroad and, hopefully, create jobs in the us. There is, obviously, no self interest in this due to his many factories stationed abroad. I hope he gets on with the job of putting all his business affairs into a blind trust, or rather he lets his kids run them and then gets caught discussing the businesses with them.

As regards capital punishment, I find myself wondering at the mental state of the executioner involved. What happens to someone who considers it their duty, to begin with, then has to live with the psychological consequences of their actions? What is the mental profile of those happy to continue doing it for years on end?

What you're referring to is the fact that windows comes ready installed on the pc when you buy it from the main outlets, the same thing is not yet true of Linux. Thus, most people have no experience of it. Android seems to be doing all right in the mobile phone market, though.

Let's be honest, Microsoft have 3 operating systems on the go : 7, 8(8.1) and 10. Instead of trying to fix one they keep pissing about with all 3 instead of dealing with the underlying security problem which is the windows system. Don't get me wrong, windows has served me well over the years and since xp it has performed very well indeed - there's lots of software out there to do whatever you need. BUT, and it's a big BUT, they've lost sight of the ball: they've tried to force people onto a new operating system/spyware program without many of the poor buggers out there realising what was going on. The ones I've saved are eternally grateful for not being on winx. They have all these people working on their systems so why can't they fix the underlying faults instead of waiting for others like google to do it for them? Sorry M$ you are your own worst enemy.

Unaware of the reason for the failure and with no discernible smell, I took said m/c into work for a lunchtime inspection. On seeing the corrosion, I decided to re-solder the joints on the pcb - mass exodus, windows open etc. The air was blue : "WTF are you doing over there?"

No amount of washing in anything could get rid of all the corrosion, it never did work properly afterwards.

I forwarded the reply to the ICO. I have had reason to complain to them before over a copy of a power of attorney that was sent by a pension company by email.

The pension company were forced to apologise to me but the ICO took no further action as it was felt to be an "isolated incident".

Talking of exposed information, did you know that if you use the confused.com website to search for an insurance deal that they then send you an email with a link to your account - with all the details you've entered "and no need to log in"!

I complained and this is the response I got :

In this case, Mr ****, your Confused.com account could only be compromised if your email account were to be accessed by another person, so we would advise you to keep a strong password and security question on your email account to prevent this from this happening.

I hope this email clarifies why you were able to access your account without a username and password, Mr ****, and I hope this reassures you that nobody else will be able to do so unless they have access to your email account where they can find the link. As the email can only be viewed by yourself, I've closed your complaint as not upheld.

Be warned, this is the level of competence these companies have facing the world.
