“Wellness”?

Bet it’s full of woo.

Boffins fear we might be running out of ideas

Re: Because

I think there's a few more reasons covered than just that.

Don't believe the 5G hype! £700m could make UK's 4G better than Albania's

Re: Professor or paid spokesman for BT?

Or he's just talking about the thing he's actually talking about and you're extrapolating wildly, as people are prone to do these days...

Nobody needs 100 Meg to a bloody phone. Improve 4G and that'll do us for now.

NASA – get this – just launched 8 satellites from a rocket dropped from a plane at 40,000ft

Mark Butler

Yes, they are certainly showing off by doing something they've been doing since 1990.

Come on guys...

20 quid is a bit steep for a small paperback isn't it?

Re: Mark Butler Airspace classes

Well, I was specifically referring to the Scottish and onward portion, but fair enough, I didn't know about the NAT tracks. Do you have a source for the NATO thing?

Mark Butler

Airspace classes

Considering the ceiling for IFR flight across Europe is around 66,000 feet and that requires a flight plan and ATC comms it doesn't bode well for the accuracy of the rest of the story.

Richard69, missing the point entirely

The problem is not that people don't want cuts. People know cuts need to be made and hard work needs to be done. The problem is that the savings are not being made fair for all. People who need help most are being hardest hit, and people who have shedloads of money are not being targetting. This is simply not on, and the fact that you fail to see this frankly obvious point makes me think that perhaps you're not fully qualified to comment on the issues. That and your appalling spelling and grammar.

Legal limit

The limit is 330fps, after that it's classed as a firearm.

Tournament markers will usually be capped at 300, and public days usually have site markers 250-280.

Firefox flaws make up 44% of all browser bugs?

Mark Butler

Jesus christ, what is wrong with you guys?

If bugs are reported and then fixed, then that's a GOOD THING.

If bugs are undisclosed, and treated in the wrong manner, then that's a BAD THING.

Just because Firefox had 44% of all bugs, it doesn't make it less stable if those bugs get fixed in a timely manner. Especially if the browser is auto-updating, too. If people choose to not upgrade, then that is their problem, and doesn't reflect badly on Firefox.

Met amends journo photo guidance to prevent interference

WTF?

Journalists = ok - Public = ?

So, if these guidelines are for Journalists, what rights to normal people have? I was under the impression that the Police couldn't go snooping around our pictures either. Or have I got that wrong?

Revo Pico+ DAB radio

Mark Butler

Just a few points...

Firstly, the recording output is MP2 because that what the DAB standard uses. There's no point transcoding and losing quality. Dump the data stream directly to the disk in the same way that some TV capture cards dump the raw MPEG stream to disk.

Secondly, what are you talking about, Steve Lamacq is awesome :-)
