apple is not a suspect, apple is a moneymaking machine. Does not matter, the fact that is was hidden and not launched as a "security measure" says a lot
guess some people (usualy the ones paranoid about big companies) still see apple as a hippy outfit only interested is speading love and good will
Last week i sat in a train and was forced to listen (she was 2 seats down and forgot about the modern wonder of telephones ie that you do not need to shout like you need to be heard 20 miles away) to a discussion that was private (job interview)

this includes "wild weasel" aircraft, electronics combat aircraft (like the ef111) and support aircraft (special version of hawkeye most of the time)
alarm gives an aircraft a reactive option (at the cost of normal ordinance) the stuff i'm talking about is active and part of operational planning
e-warfare took out the radar, i don't think the uk or for that matter eu have that kind of stuff
for project power you need a lot more than a fighter you need a system, right now only the us can do that on a global scale, israel and russia might be able to do it regional.
i doubt if any lets say bigger than brigade deployment would be realistic without us involvment, a larger heavier deployment mechanized division would be a no go from the start. The stupidity of having politics decide what equipment to get has resulted in the french getting carriers which have no aew planes, the uk getting euh the same and troops not getting the proven (chinook, blackhawk & hercules) they need
as for the dutch apaches, yes they did, stupid spagettiwestern shootouts are for movies, the best way to kil your enemy is if he can't kill you back. Might not be sporting but hey.

The aden guns carry only very limited amount of ammo which is why the yanks only put one gun in (extra ammo) that they use 25 mm is to standardize on 1 type
the apache (dutch ones) have been quite succesful in afghanistan, needed some new tactics but these thinks are scary
as for the eurofighter, all modern air combat is governed by one simple rule: if you see your opponent before he sees you, he is dead.That simple, eurofighter might be able to run circles around anything, most of the time the kill will be by a missile fired by a plane not even seen by the other pilot. Command & control, electronic warfare are area's the uk needs to do better in.
as for the claim that the uk would be able to mount an attack on syria or iran, don't be daft. No land bases, not enough tankers and no e-warfare or control

as for good, yeah it is good, no series is perfect, sometimes an episode will hit like a Pangalactic gurgleblaster.
Star trek had that after a fashion some of the earlier NG and DS9 ones were wooden, badly written. NG became great when they started to add depth to the klingons and introduced Q (not the borg), enterprice actually had a decent last season.
Bab 5, ahhh season 2 and 3 had some of the best material around, first show to leave the "all aliens are bipedal" mold, the shadowwar, lorien's speech about time, and who could not feel sorry for sheridan every time that kosh said something so weird that discussions still rage today
that most of the (horrible) material has been available on the net for months without much noise but the guy who uses it to show something is attacked, hit lawsuits, asked to shut up for the good of the euro.

well yes but how many christians actually take the bible as 100% true and act like that (with violence) these days.
Here is the difference, in islam the difference is not in interpretation but in action, check the statements, while you will find plenty of muslims saying that 9/11 madrid or the london attacks were terrible and bad, you won't find many that will disagree with the texts in the koran that gave the extremist the loincloth to do these deeds.
you can;t be a muslim and not accept the perfect and undeniable facts contained in the quran. The difference between moderate and extreem is in the action, not in the interpretation.

as with all air warfare today command and control decides the outcome, get your planes in the right place at the right time and your opponent is doomed, make sure he does not see you and he should not even take off. All of history proves that if you don't control you lose

sound is not an issue, as its speed is limited, thus sound is perfect to find a submarine at 10 20 knots, but a fighter jet even subsonic is almost as fast as the sound it makes so by the time you hear it it is there, at supersonic speeds you hear it only after it is past you (and then only if your not dead)
Like so many box producers sony annoys by making a product that looks good and then forget to give us the features we need
a machine like that should have a decent gpu to play hd, not the intel igp crap that has to struggle to even display vista, and why does a leading tv maker like sony don't include hdmi
now if they change that and lob 50% off the price
