UK Prime Minister Johnson knows not when 400k+ deleted records from police DB will be back

This government's incompetance is borderline criminal negligence, how many jobs has anyone ever done this badly and not been fired, just a 'he's doing his best' comment on the HR file??

When low-balled projects go bad: Scottish pensions agency starts £10m procurement to buy the system Capita could not

Re: £10m seems very low anyway

It's not 'abnormally low' if you never expect to deliver any of the milestones or a working system though.

Re: No headphone jack

I've had the Oneplus 6 for about 6 months(ish), updates have been frequent and well implemented. Including a recent one that upgraded me to Pie. Which was nice. Obviously only time will tell over the next few years but solid recommend from me (The 6 has a headphone jack too)

BBC presenter loses appeal, must pay £420k in IR35 crackdown

Re: Any news on whether the BBC pays their side of the bargain?

I think you've missed the point of the ruling, which effectively has made her an employee regardless of the use of a PSC. The BBC should now be liable for at least the Employer's NI contribution.

Re: I just replaced the HDD in my laptop with...

This has also been my experience, hybrid drives sound like a good idea on paper but the flash caching isn't really big enough to provide any noticeable benefit. With an SSD it's hard to argue that there's a performance increase but with hybrid not so much.

Yeah, this was a news to me too. Although I guess it's similar to how Vader's helmet and armour changed between the 3 original films. It must be very small changes though because I have definitely never noticed. A good excuse to watch them again :)
