Was that the Big Orange Wall, or The Big Grey wall?

First "Fatal crash"

Fortunately, no-one was killed. Otherwise it would have been a "fatal" crash.

I think the Asiana accident at SFO was the first and only fatal accident, where the aircraft has been found and was not shot down.

SPY-tunes scandal: Bloke sues Bose after headphones app squeals on his playlist

smithwr101

You don't need the app to use the headphones.

smithwr101

Actually when you fire up Bose Connect it says "Apps using Bluetooth Low Energy are now required to have location access enabled. We don't like it either."

So it looks like an Android or other third party constraint.

Prestwick

There has been a discussion in the last few years or so about using one of the Scottish airfields for air launch to orbit systems - pre Brexit/ Indyref v2. Prestwick has a long runway, built for B707 era transatlantic flights and hangerage for that sort of activity. There are other airports in consideration such as Machrihansih on Kintire which has a hugh runway (it was to be used as a Space Shuttle transatlantic abort site had the shuttle got to the planned launch frequency of every week or so.) Also ex-RAF stations at Kinloss, and Leuchurs.

There aren't too many suitable runways south of the border that haven't been grubbed up -- such as Greenham Common.

Microsoft RE-BORKS Windows 7 patch after reboot loop horror

Re: No issues here... you do not dual boot using GRUB.

Grub is working fine. It's Windows that detects a problem and reverts. I could understand if MS had modified their bootloader and it caused grub to fail.

FAIL

Yup. Same problem here. Two Windows 7 machines reboot several times and then revert.

KB3033929 is the problem.

It's a minor weakness in security if you don't install it but an MS DoS if you do!
