WannaCry kill-switch hero Marcus Hutchins collared by FBI on way home from DEF CON

Typical Five Eyes Behavior

The U.S. loves to demonize others (see, Aaron Swartz, Kim Dotcom, Ed Snowden, etc.) and use that to justify its atrocious behavior. The U.S. government plays a game of Machiavellian politics internally (states which seek government aid) and externally (countries that seek government aid). They've been doing this for nigh a hundred years. The only groups worse than the U.S. system are those who can't see that they're sheep being fleeced by the elites. Wake up people stop dealing with the Devil.

That's cute, Germany – China shows the world how fusion is done

Pronounce

I Wonder....

What would happen if fusion began to consume more than time, money, and energy? You know how it often goes with humans and their very best ideas: Antibiotics ---> Superbugs; Fission reactors ---> Core meltdowns leading to uninhabitable environments; Industrial revolution ---> Raise the temperature of the planet, melting the ice caps, causing droughts, and starving people; etc. etc.

You don't suppose it might be possible to lose containment on super-heated plasma that turns the Earth into another star, do you?

The Fermi Paradox supposes there is some technological advancement that leads to the end of every advance civilization.

There is a high likelihood that in time we'll locate that technology even if fusion isn't it.

Cisco network kit warning: Watch out for malware in the firmware

BOOM Another Spook Attack Vector Makes the News

Mark 85 said it first. This is a physical access exploit that takes money, clout, and expertise (i.e., nation states, organized crime).

So then basically Cisco is giving away state secrets by advertizing that they've seen this exploit, right?

NSA eggheads tried to bork Nork nukes with Stuxnet. It failed – report

Pronounce

Sony First, Nukes Second

According to the Sony hack reports by the FBI the NSA knew it was NK, because the NSA was on their serves and watched them do it.

OK, and so why didn't they stop the nuke program at that time?

I guess the Gov's media buddies come first and the devastation of a free society isn't quite as important.

Not A Competing Product, Really

Just WHY is the FBI so sure North Korea hacked Sony? NSA: *BLUSH*

Re: Evidence?

And what kind of secret spy agency do you have when they give away the secrets? Isn't Snowden a criminal for sharing the same thing?

It's like when Kim Kardashian cried, "boo hoo someone shared my secrets bits on the net", but now that she gets to make the call it's all-good.

If nothing else this stuff can be used as a script for a modern day Greek comedy.

Skeptical Culbable

The report says that they were in NK's network for 4 years and didn't let Sony know that NK was hacking them. Because there is no way a hacker can download 100 TB of data without showing traffic flow. The NSA didn't feel the need to stop it? I guess they like free movies as much as the like Zero-Day exploits. (That they are telling us they don't stockpile.)

Shady all around. I can't believe anything the NSA, FBI, CIA say. Nothing at all.
