And during the last major election, the people who said we aren't building a monument to the Maginot Line got the most votes and said no wall. It is the will of the people who voted their representatives into office.
As far as this being Trump's shutdown, he went on national TV and made it a point to say he would be proud to wear the mantle and claim it as his. Are you trying to take away one of his few accomplishments?
The space race in the 60's was a case of the project management triangle being skewed towards we will get to the moon first, damn the costs.
If you really think that NASA is being mismanaged, how much do you think it would have cost the US to have Haliburton or Boeing to put the rovers on Mars or send pictures back from the Kuiper Belt?
NASA's FY 2017 budget of $19.5 billion (in nominal dollars) represented 0.47% of the $3.98 trillion United States federal budget during that year.[2]
NASA was allocated $601.31 billion (in nominal dollars) overall from 1958 to 2018.

As part of the system of checks and balances, one of the houses of a co equal branch of the government (in this case the one that controls the purse) is now controlled by people who said they were not willing to build a wall. So it should not be built, on the premise that the majority of people have spoken and said no.
While it might take time and money to spin up new or find replacement facilities China is just as much at the mercy of their biggest consumer if they wish to keep their growing middle class happy. As far as closing any of the Foxconn facilities, they make stuff for all the major IT companies so that is a no go also.
This saber rattling between the two is amusing to watch if it wasn't so dangerous to the worlds stability.
Don't mind him, he's just another trump follower who thinks muh american exceptionalism is really a thing.
But he should be reminded the last time someone ran around yelling America First it was a bunch sympathizers to a certain austrian guy who thought he too was exceptional. To be fair though, according to trump there are many fine people in that group as well.
Actually, I for one am all for dropping politicians from 5.5 meters but I also think we should try dropping them from increasing heights until we find out what height starts knocking some sense into them.
That way, anyone who files to run for office can immediately be taken outside and dropped from that height before their campaign starts.
He is doing his job, like many on the trump team he has been taking Russian money for years.
His job is to make life easier for trumps benefactors from the late 90s onward when all the western banks wouldn't loan trump money because he was such a credit risk.
And Clinton is not in office, you trumpers have to find someone else to blame, your guy is in charge.
IBM had a history of tracking people, I would remind people of this but that would invoke godwin's law.But also remember that HAL was in one instance supposed to be IBM ( just move one letter left across the name). Google are merely newbs at this. No less malevolent or determined, just amateurs though.
