30K iops is marketed only for the $18K all flash "starter" configuration, which only offers a handful of usable TBs. I wouldn't rely on this marketing jibber jabber until we see more solid, customer based metrics released from EMC and its partners in the coming weeks.

How much would it cost to fill an 8000 series with all SSD Flash drives? Sounds awesome yet outrageously expensive...if only they could offer inline deduplication to reduce the amount of SSDs required to lower the cost per gb. Where does XIV and XtremIO sit compared to this offering?
