They'll outsource to the very cheapest bidder. It's not like they don't need the staff, but if they can hire people who claim to be qualified (to be fair, many are) in another country and not have to worry about a union or pensions and pay that maybe 40% of what they pay now. That's where the money is.

Of course, as this continues in corps across NA and EU our ability to pay for the services they want to provide us continue to decrease. At some point all these great services will have to be shut down as so many of us won't be able to pay for them.

Our governments should step up. We're getting the point where corps need to be broken up again.

I'm on the base rate Internet service 50 Mbps down and 30 up, of course, the cost is lower than yours. Gotta say it is a great service.

I'm lucky to have Fibre to the Home. I'm on the base Internet plan 50Mb down and 30Mb up with no usage/download cap, which works very well for me as I like to play different Linux distros.

I'd expect that the government will mandate that any utility servicing more than a certain number of customers will have to hire a firm like this to monitor its systems, thereby enabling the continuance of the old boys network. Not that I think it was in jeopardy.

And ensuring even easy access to those systems.

Try CrunchBang (#!) Linux

My 6 year old HP Pavilion has been on Linux for three or four years and CrunchBang (#!) Linux for the past several months. I find the GUIs in the different Linux distros are getting heavier and CrunchBang has kept their GUI, a windows manger really called OpenBox, very light and minimal. Run like a charm.

haha, English is a wonderful evolving language with many names and meanings for a single symbol.
