I am staying with Win 7 for as long as possible. I hate win 10 so much that I would happily use Win 8.1 to avoid it.

So, it's Sandy Lake for me to upgrade my first gen i7 860. Zen looks as if it will be a nice CPU, but if it cannot run Win 7/8.1 it's useless to me and many, many others too I'd wager.

This has been a long brewing issue on some Asus forums. The main problem is that Asus does NOT localise their routers for each country in Europe. The use the lowest common denominator on 5GHz, and allow only 3 channels that are available in the whole of Europe, they do not fix the firmware for each European country. If they did I would not have an issue. I HAVE to use third party firmware to be able to use my router legally, rather than in the crippled form in which it was supplied. 2.4GHz is also affected, more as to power outputs rather than available channels.

Israel is a shit-hole to live in if you have manners. My father was born there, 99% of my family lives there and I did military service there for 3 years. It is not chutzpah the Israelis have. They are bloody rude, the country is awash in pointless red tape just like all ex-British colonies. Israelis do not queue - you get to (what you think is your turn) and 4-5 people come out of nowhere to say that they were there. It's a shame Israelis cannot learn manners from their globe-trotting.

Image for Windows and the companion programs Image for DOS and Image for Linux. The last two are bootable on UFDs and CDs and the first works under windows.

If you think what you are using now is robust, you HAVE to try these. I am an ex-Macrium user. That backup solution is very good. but I needed to change for reasons that are not relevant here.

The Terabyte software is a genuine undiscovered gem. Gets frequent updates and enhancements and one only has to pay for major version jumps - the last one was some years ago.

Sorry if I sound like an advert - just a satisfied customer.
