The only silver lining off that whole kerfuffle was that it gave Mark Russinovitch some (much deserved) publicity and made me aware of the awesome SysInternals Suite.
At this point I don't think there's much risk of North Koreans figuring out a way to oppress their people more than they've already oppressed them. A strong people make many bricks, weak people make fewer bricks, dead people make no bricks. After 3 generations of this even the North Koreans might realize a different tactic is needed.

If you wake up one day and women in IT are getting paid 20% more than their male counterparts, then feminism has, in fact, gone too far.
If you wake up one day (today for example) and women in IT are still making 20% less than their male counterparts, but somebody posted an article to tell you about it, making you feel discomfort and the urge to strike out, then feminism has not gone too far.
it's funny that he would choose the term 'karma' too. the concept of karma is a great thoughtstopper when it comes to thinking about justice. if somebody is living on the street and covered in running sores than they must have 'bad karma'. conversely, if somebody is eating kobe beef with gold-leaf garnish every day and helicoptering from one estate to the other they must have 'good karma'. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm that's some good Just World fallacy!
That wasn't censorship. That was ratelimiting! Half the threads in half the boards don't need to be about GamerGate. If somebody barges into your room and hollers GAMERGATE GAMERGATE OMG 15,000 times an hour and you eject him from your room for being annoying I wouldn't call that censorship either.

I don't know so much about that. Sometimes it can be a really small industry and future potential partners or employers will care as much about HOW she exited an organization as WHY she exited an organization. She was given reasonable choices and then she chose one.

other things to consider:
* i think gandi.net and mythic beasts give you a discount if you specify an ipv6-only VPS. gandi.net says "approximately 17%" for that discount last i heard.
* NAT is all fun and games until you get served a v4 IP address that got blacklisted by some other idiot who had it before you - or you're surfing at work and some other idiot who works for your ginormous corporation got your company's public v4 IP blacklisted from, for example, freenode. not that i'd know about that or anything.
started my first Hurricane Electric 6in4 tunnel yesterday. was a piece of cake.
the only slight roadblock was when i slavishly followed the instructions to simply put the configuration info into one of my computers. it ended up making much more sense to put the 6in4 tunnel config into my router and then turn off my one windows machine's teredo tunnel. that's probably what i get for not really reading in detail but i'd rather learn by playing anyway.

Let me try to understand what you're driving at. You're saying that because men get "shafted" without complaining, that women should then also accept getting shafted without complaining? That, because you've surrendered the right to stand up for yourself, that others should do the same too?
If you feel like some dark and sinister matriarchal conspiracy is denying you the use of an "-ism" why not try "classism" or "geekism". Being told to spend a month's salary on a professional outfit that'll go completely unappreciated by the server you've got to reboot or the shell script you've got to correct could well fall under this rubric. If you've got evidence of being held down because of something you ARE instead of something you DO then by no means go quietly into that dark night. Rights are not a zero-sum game.
Before complaining about other people standing up for themselves, why not try standing up for yourself? You have nothing to lose but your chains!
