It's using the latest Vulkan, OpenGL and DX12 libraries where the AMD card really shines because AMD have introduced asynchronous compute on the graphics chip.
You'll find a reasonable overview here, I have no doubt that nvidia will eventually catch up so AMD have only a small window to prise the market open.

When a major EU politician refers to the referendum result as a contagion ( Cheers Angela ) with other 'leaders' agreeing I fail to see how anyone can allow that level of disrespect to have any say over them.

The legal system differences between the majority of the EU and the UK, how are these expected to be reconciled.
UK system has common law, precedent, and is also based on 'that which is not banned is allowed'.
EU ( most ) no common law, no precedent and based on 'that which is not allowed is banned'.
These questions will also be relevant for the, no doubt, inevitable new Scottish Independence Referendum.

I think it breaks down like this.
The third party they reference would be the service provider for your phone. The one you pay vast sums to so that you may call anyone you wish.
To provide the service, they require your location data. So you allow them this voluntarily otherwise it doesn't work.
Your phone company is now the third party that is referenced and is required to hand over the data if it is available, thereby providing an end run around the 4th.
You don't pay to connect to a Stingray device, so it is not your provider.
You don't voluntarily hand your data over because you don't know it's there, you could argue that this data has been 'stolen', at the very least misappropriated.
Stolen or misappropriated evidence is a no-no in the US hence all the fuss over 'parallel construction'.
So finally, to make this data court valid requires a warrant.
It's likely that it has always required one but it takes a while for any legal system to wake up and smell the coffee.
That depends, supply is restricted because many manufacturers were unsure about the value of investing that heavily. I updated my laptop from an 750 GB SSHD with an 8GB Flash cache to a 500GB SSD earlier this year.
The boot time is directly comparable to the extent that I haven't actually noticed any real difference between them. As far as loading of programs go, the difference is easier to discern the larger the program is but is still not onerous.
When I'm given a laptop to repair, most still have a standard HDD with only RAM cache.
I suspect that the life of HDD could be extended by sticking a small SSD in front thereby giving the perception of being much faster because the boot time is comparable and this is what most people consider.
Once the supply ramps up properly and the cost of a 1TB SSD is less than twice the cost of a 1TB HDD then the consumer market will collapse

My Jolla was on it's last legs and I went looking for a replacement running Sailfish because I quite like it. Cheapest I could find was 650GBP which is about 350 more than I paid for the Jolla.
I looked around and came across the oneplus 2 which did catch my interest especially since it's only 250 notes.
For the money I am very impressed by the hardware, the Android overlay, OxygenOS, is reasonably light without anything actually getting in the way. As far as I can tell the only things missing from a 'high' end phone is the NFC and IR neither of which I require, others might I don't.
I find that, on a personal basis, it's become very difficult to actually justify buying a phone that costs more than about 400GBP.

You don't have to use the standard postgre.
You could use postgreXC and if you want commercial backing with management tools, support, replication, large doses of Oracle compatibility and training etc then you then you could always try Enterprise DB which builds on top of postgre XC.
It will still cost but you should manage to keep your eye and your leg attached.
I'm with you all the way on this, absolute discretion is a requirement, anything less than that is a breach of the trust that the person whos system your fixing has put in you.
I always request that they take a backup if they can before handing to me so that a full wipe is possible, if not I have a 1TB external that can be cleared to house the backup and a virus checker run against that before restore. I get the person to check that everything is there and then wipe the drive within a couple of days of handing back.
I try to view as little as possible and I would never mention what I may have seen to anyone. This should be the minimum standard applied when this kind of trust is placed in yourself.
Early on in this fiasco, I seem to recall that Apple have assisted in the recovery of data from hundreds of iPhones, their quote, for properly presented warrants for law enforcement. The requirement being that you have *not* reset the iCloud password associated with the iPhone.
Did not San Bernardino Police thank the FBI for helping them reset the password on the iPhones iCloud account or do I remember this incorrectly?
If that is the case then why are the FBI beasting Apple over the FBI, who should have known better, having screwed up recovery options? Recovery options that they cannot deny knowing about having used them before with properly issued warrants.
I don't use any Apple products, I don't actually like the way they work, but I'm with Apple over this one. The FBI screwed up the ability to recover the data. They are now scabbing about in the depths of the law system trying to find a way out without shouldering any blame.
Apple is quite right to give them the legally approved method of the Long bowmen two finger salute.

I've found that women are, in general, far better than men at a task if there is a lump of fuzzy type logic somewhere in the problem space. Where it is generally just plain hard/tortured logic I found that men were generally better. This is with quite a large cross-over between.
There are differences between men and women, apart from the obvious physical ones, that mean they will think and act differently. This is not always nurture, the nature word comes into it as well. This is not a bad thing. I look at it as men and women are complimentary, they can each fill deficiencies in the others method of thinking or doing things. Teams should include both sexes as it can vastly improve how a team operates.
I have seen sexist wide-boys in my time and, initially, women would just suffer it. Over the last decade or so they have really started to assert their right to be recognised and this level of sexism is retreating. The people who treated women the worst, however, were women who had been promoted 2 or 3 levels higher. To refer to those ones as bitchy is to underestimate the disrespect they would show to other women. This I have not seen reduce by a significant amount.
When it comes down to it, some men are just tossers and some women are real bitches. Do these people a favour and forget where the ladder is when they stop digging.

The one I work at has a couple of mainframes, some Linux based servers, more MS based servers and every desktop is Win7, well apart from the 12 that run XP and a bit of software that 7 vomits all over.
The servers are slowly ( only about another decade to go ) being moved over to linux but the desktop is geared to stay solely MS.
If MS closed up tomorrow there would be panic in the upper echelons with what are *you* going to do about it questions. Talk to anyone in a large company with real decision making authority and they probably aren't aware that there is another OS other than MS. Even apple will be seen as 'those gadget fellas'

These give the company the right to search your bag. In the UK this is legal as long as the site rules are available and there are signs displayed indicating right to search will be used.
Using it everyday for everybody may be considered excessive in a court but probably not illegal.

Since the US seems to think their laws apply worldwide, apart from the arguments that normally go with that erroneous assumption, why shouldn't the French/EU?
If there was something about me that was linked internationally I would probably be ticked off since I am a supposed 'private citizen' but I think public officials should require a higher bar before something like this should be allowed.
Google is wrong here by not making that distinction between public and private individuals, and thus are violating the 'don't be evil' mantra.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
