FBI extends voting security push, LA court hacker goes down, and more D-Link failures

Meh

Re: This is a threat that not only concerns every American, it involves every American.

If you hadn't noticed they're in the minority and are concerned more about voter fraud than poll hacking, probably with good reason. They'll never win California, New York, Illinois, or Virginia. With population shifts from higher tax states toward western states that feature low taxes and population densities they are turning blue, see Arizona and Nevada. With socialistic attitudes on the rise in the upcoming elections amongst Democrats, it don't look too good.

Get ready to be probed by the Antitrust Voltron, Google: Attorneys general combine from Texas, New York, Maine, Arizona, Missouri...

FAIL

You can't expect the liberals that fund the Democratic party in California to be investigated by the political operatives on their payroll, let alone sanction them and turn off their contribution streams. California is a poster child for the ineffectiveness of term limits to curb corruption in politics.

FBI Director wants 'adult conversation' about backdooring encryption

fishbone

I'm sure this will work as well as gun laws in Chicago have stopped gangbangers from shooting other gangbangers, never mind the innocent bystanders I'm sure they'll only hit their targets.

fishbone

Re: Adult conversation?

Too true and it's going to happen because the noise of the unthinking will win over civil rights even though the constitution should secure them. The fourth amendment was trashed in the late nineties to accommodate the Amtrak crowds that rode the northeast corridors. Pee in the jar or be fired was not a phrase I remember from civics nor was public safety concerns are more important than personal liberties, but it happens regardless to thousands every year who work in public transportation. No evidence, no suspicion, no witnesses. Same thing will happen again when the chatter reaches a high enough level.

Re: Huh?

You should probably just stay in your bed and never come out. Bad stuff happens everywhere, stupid people make it happen more often. Sometimes people come to do bad things and real adults have to do things they otherwise wouldn't, like protect family and friends. Most likely that requires a weapon capable of meeting or exceeding the threat involved. Pardon my condescending tone but I wanted to be sure of your understanding the point.

Re: Tit for Tat, EU. We can do that too!

Perhaps that fine continental history you've read points out that the US government is the only reason this discussion isn't carried out in German. Do that by yourself next time the froggies and limeys set up another country for economic doom that can only end badly. If you don't like Google don't click on it , in the end if you initiate contact and request a free service that expands into something more by your own design why'd they have to comply with all applicable laws across your borders, you went to them first.

This was way before it became a destination, it was fishing shacks and not affluent natives. Can't imagine that now but only from a liability standpoint.
