Sounds like a whinging permie that didn't have the balls to go contract to me.

I pay my share of Tax and NI that I am due to pay according to the current rules set by HMRC. If the rules change, then I will pay a different amount.

If my 30 years in the industry and 21 years as a contractor have taught me anything, it is that the more a permie moans about contractors not paying their fair share, the more times they have got less of a raise than they think they deserved.

Avoid and evade are two different things in the eyes of the law.

One is legal, but, may be socially unacceptable, the other is a one way ticket to playing "pick up the soap" in the showers.

VAT is not a tax for a Ltd. Company. Never look at VAT on your invoice, as it is not your company's. Keep it to one side, and pay it when it is due. If the Ltd. Company purchases anything liable for VAT, it can be removed from what is owed to HMRC.

I repeat, VAT is not your company's money.

"Shave" 50kg off a BIW structure? BIW for a mid sized steel saloon is around 400kg, then the chassis boys bolt on their "lightweight" cast iron parts, the electircal boys shove in every toy they can think of, and it's capped off with a layer of rag and fluff from the interior trim chaps.

The carefully honed and weight optimised BIW has been turned into a 1500kg lump, and BIW get the blame for making yet another heavy car.

Steel BIW - 400kg approx

Aluminium BIW - 300kg approx

CFRP BIW - 200kg approx

Sorry, but I am calling you on this one.

Stroke order is not required. It is what differentiates good handwritten Chinese from bad. There is no difference in the handwritten, typed or printed characters. The difference is the individual style of the writer, if the handwritten were different from printed, that would require learning two sets of characters. Spoken and written Chinese are subtly different, as there is less chance of contextual problems with written text.

China Taxis

Mostly in China, the taxis obey the rules of the road. What they are, no body knows.

Lines are for road decoration, and are seemingly meaningless. Traffic lights are pretty colours that change occasionally.

Seat belts in the back of most taxis in Shanghai do not exist, and in the front finding a fully working belt and buckle is a task and a half.

After living there for two years though, I was not once in an accident, so the drivers peripheral vision must be awesome.
