Jupiter has the craziest storms seen yet, say boffins

That looks like one of those British satellite traffic circles...

Nokia updates classic comeback mobe 3310

Sign me up for that as well. I'd love to have a phone with a screen like one of those book readers: matte, and grayscale. Russian Yota phone was apparently like that but the b/w screen was a secondary, not the main screen.

Blame Canada? $5.7m IBM IT deal balloons to $185m thanks to 'an open bag of money'

Even what works in there is atrocious

When I, as a regular employee, log in to this confounded thing I see mess of menus that end in dead links or have options going nowhere. Or, they end up with an option which on clicking tells me that I am not allowed to look at what's in there. Why do I even see this then??? Why do I see the option called "Configuration for North America", or some such idiotic thing...? I'm just a regular employee who wants to see his last paycheck. It's like the concept of context-sensitivity haven't been invented yet. Looks like nobody really tested the user interface, they just left this confusing mess for people to figure it out.

HP users moaning over 10-minute login lag during 'Win 10 update'

I have an older HP and it ground to halt

The Superfetch and some other services had to go - I had hard drive activity at 100%.

I wish the MS did not push Cortana that hard; I have no use for it, and they seem to stubbornly re-enable it with the upgrades.

Dish Network hit with $280 MEEELLION fine for relentless robocalling

What's a Do-Not-Call list?

Well, it's a list of valid phone numbers, obviously.

Get it, use it.

When some years ago Canada introduced the do-not-call list, I signed up, and almost immediately started to get more robocalls.

Avast blocks the entire internet – again

You report in the story that

I would agree with this statement.

We have similar problem in Canada:

The problem is still ongoing, thousands of people have still messed up payroll.

Thanks IBM!

US govt says it has cracked killer's iPhone, legs it from Apple fight

Re: Do as we ask...

"Apple, as well as the rest of the world, now knows that the FBI wants access..."

And that was a surprise...? oh, boy...

Let’s re-invent small phones! Small screens! And rubber buttons!

Re: I'm still using my old Blackberry Curve

For me that was the only Blackberry that I could comfortably use. The keys were small but there was a little space between them so it was easy to press only one. The later models had larger keys but more tightly packed together and I usually pressed three of them. And I HATED it.

I think at some point I will just buy one of those phones for seniors, like the one I got for my father and I will be quite happy with it...

Regarding the quality of voice - that's why I still use my old Nokia. Number of people remarked on quality of voice they hear when they call me...

Run-up to the elections next year. Starting with relatively small stuff that sounds good, but won't be a big deal if nothing comes out of it.

Re: Flaws in the Internet ..

Well, they probably use Microsoftish instead of English... look at the IE: the IE options are called in Microsoftish "Internet options", so maybe they are still trying to find holes in IE...
