People seem to be forgetting that Apple is firstly a hardware company and that software, especially free software, role is to drive hardware sales.
Having triple play version parity is important over everything else for most people that have moved to Google Docs and Apple is no doubt concerned that Google Docs drives Android sales.
So forget comparing iWorks with MS Office, that as Steve Jobs use to say, isn't where the 'puck' is headed.
If the old version has some feature you can't live without, carry on using the old version. Me I might just make the jump from Google Docs and I'm delighted to have a cloud office platform that at last works on my iPad.
