Re: I got an interesting idea
That 'Idea' is about as relevant as the Tax Issue.

It's hardly arrogant when the Irish Government laid claim to the whole island of Ireland, only to relinquish this claim (in part) as part of the Good Friday Agreement. How verrry dare they claim the northern 6 counties which were partitioned from them in the early 20th Century.
The question over a persons nationality (by AC) is also just wrong. It'd be nothing like someone calling themselves a Labourian. I've never once heard of someone in the north claiming that they are DUP British or Sinn Fein Irish. It's got nothing to do with party politics, you either see yourself as Irish or British and some see themselves as Northern Irish. Fair play to them all, you are what you are!!
Maybe Richie should head to Arnold's for a quick cheeseburger and seek council from the Arthur Fonzerelli in the mens room like days gone by. I do remember the Fonz blessing himself from time to time so maybe he'll put in a kind word with the Pope... Oul Benny XIV is quare craic if you get him on a good day.
Mine is the one with the Rosary Beads, that double up as a garrotte, in the pocket...
Anyone cares if there is one central database or 10 smaller databases. Whatever way they choose to do it they will still have access to all of the data. Multiple databases may make it harder, or less likely, that the information will be lost. Needless to say this is merely a way of putting people's minds at ease whilst not actually doing anything about it. It is a high price to pay for the "hopeful" capture of a few criminals. How long will it be before these laws are used to check what we are spending and how and then asked "How can you afford that sir?". I had better not mention that I may have overloaded my bin to a friend on facebook or the council will be all over me like a rash.
Do you reckon if i strapped two of these bad boys to my existing legs that I could propel myself into the record books ahead of Usain Bolt in 2012?
If not at least i'll be able to be comfortable whilst watching said event.

"Well, I've been around a little, and so far, the public transportation system in London are among the best, quickest, cleanest in large cities in Europe, as well as comparatively affordable. If you want a laugh, try public transportation in, say, Hamburg, Germany or for a real hoot, Marseille. If you want to get stuck halfway to the railway station with the next bus dropping by at four the next morning, try Luebeck, Germany"
Remember that London is the Capital city so its unfair to compare it with regional hubs. Compare it with other Capitals and you will find the public transport system in london lacking. It costs a bloody fortune for one! In Paris you can get from A (anywhere in paris) to B (anywhere else in paris) for €1.50 and its fast, efficient and clean!
Why not leave freeview alone, and let people willing to pay the premium for HD go with SKY or Cable services. I have freeview on 3 televisions at home (two of which on indoor aerials, and the third connected to the main aerial in the attic) and receive all the channels available with perfect clarity. I don't think there is a need to over complicate the issue with a new freeview service that not a lot of people really want or need.
Do we really need Eastenders in HD, it's bad enough catching a brief glimpse of Heather in SD as I quickly channel surf!
I went to see the above at the cinema during the week. Not once have I felt the need to kill anyone with a bolt gun since. I also have not "gone on the run", driven a pickup, or picked up a Texas drawl.
I just thought I'd let you all know, that the world is safe....... ish!
I only run a small local forum and fasthosts have caused nothing but problems over the last year or so. First of all I lost all my content (luckily it was backed up to my home PC). A few months went by and then my SQL server just upped and left, it appears it had enough of fasthosts. Then I went to login this morning and it appears that my SQL database has shat itself as my site is showing nothing but SQL errors :(
This is bad enough for someone like myself running a simple forum, imagine the hassle people must have trying to make a living on the back of all this!
Pah! Who gives a flying FCEK ;) what green peace say or do. they run around claiming to be eco friendly and whatnot but surely all their collective bluster and hot air must be contributing to "Global Warming". And global warming, what another load of old bollucks! Its a global cycle which would happen whether naturally occuring carbon was in the atmosphere or not!!! Remember a few millenia ago britain was a desert, and a few more before that it was inder a mile of ice and not a Combustion Engine, Nintendo Wii or ecowarrior in site!
They are all cNUTS!
Thanks for the infferrence that it would sell more if it was cheaper, I'm not a market analyst but I assume the same would go for all "exclusive" things. If a Merc was 5 grand i'd guess they would roll off the forecourts like, well, big wheeled things!!!
BTW I dont have an iPhone, I don't need one nor have any desire to have an overrated phone with a, perhaps, nice GUI.
*sigh*
*flogs shergar*
I was wondering why my BBC new was rendering with a big gap below the main bar at the top and then everything moving up. Its really been doing my head in this last few days. Why not have it so that it has no ads by default and then checks your IP to see if it can populate your page with ads, so that us licence payers dont get fecked off with moving pages that are going nowhere!!!!
On a side note, good luck to whoever gets the "Congratulations you're the 999,999th Visitor" prize. I guess this wont be open to UK and NI residents :( :( ;)
