Notification Area Icons under Control Panel can be used to hide away the icon. I've tucked it away for now and will probably look to see how well received the upgrade is after it has been given a good going over, sometime around November should be adequate. Then I either activate it or delete it, for now it is a bit like a discount coupon for something I haven't yet decided to purchase, so I've done the digital equivalent of shoving it away in a drawer.

Apple threw its TV out the window after years of research: report

Tromos

Disproof

To achieve a $1500 average price, the smaller 55 inch unit needs to be below that. For that size of UHDTV, it sounds like reasonable value. Therefore not Apple.

Feds: Bloke 'HACKED PLANE controls' – from his PASSENGER seat

Tromos

Not total madness, just 90%.

I assume the reason for the linkage between the flight management systems and the entertainment kit is for the purpose of information display. The bit where the film finishes and there's still an hour to go where they show slides of position on a moving map, airspeed, outside temperature, altitude, ETA, etc.

The last couple of flights I was on were showing the route. Unless someone is going to go to the trouble of loading all this information into a separate system, a link is required. The stupid part is allowing control commands through the link (especially the fly sideways instruction!).

Sorry, Windows 10 early adopters: Microsoft Edge WON'T block ads at launch

Tromos

Re: Answer: The hosts file. @TheVogon

In most cases, I'm quite happy to allow sites with their own adverts and analytics. It is passing these on to third parties with all their tracking and snooping that is my main objection.

In many cases, these would be special interest sites with relevant advertising and I may be visiting the site specifically to see the ads.
