Lester Haines: RIP

Lester on tv (2011)

This was from spanish television showing people from different countries living here in Spain. And Lester had his time, showing where he lived, a very small village, just the opposite big London. It´s in spanish but you can have a beutiful idea of how his life here was.

So sad news

I'm sorry to say here that our friend here in Spain, Lester Haines, has suddenly died today. We ,all his friends, will miss him so much. It would be great having the Lohan project going in his memory

Bye Lester

Re: Diclofenac

And still allowed for use in cattle in Spain (I don´t know in the rest of Europe) which is something I can´t understand with the clear scientific evidences of its effects on vultures. It´s true most dead cattle are taken for incineration (done after mad cow disease outbreak) but in mountains, sometimes is imposible to do it. And now we´ve got new rules about leaving dead cattle in the countryside for feeding vultures.

Wild life...

Hi everybody

Wild boars and deers=car crashes and transmiting diseases to cattle (tuberculosis); vultures eating alive animals because they don´t have dead ones (after BSE regulations), foxes bitting small and weak calves and hens; and now wolves attacking cattle. Wild life is beautiful but our politicians should help people suffering problems that come from these animals.

Re: It´s me ,Rubén Prieto

Lots of people tell me how lucky I am for living here, working with animals, no traffic jams, no polution,...but they don´t realize what means working outside in the long hard winter, at night, rainy days, etc, apart from bloody surgeries and so. Anyway, i don´t change it for any other job (now, let´s see in a few years...)

The tape is for measuring testicles diameter. There´s a direct relation between diamenter and function. Too small/big is not good. Small means no good production and too big could mean inflamation and/or neoplasia.

Hi Lester

Thanks for showing what we do. We work with farmers to improve their results, in terms of increasing cattle´s fertility. A good farm needs healthy animals and good fertility. Our target is to get one calf per year and cow.

Working as a vet in the countryside is hard, dirty but beautiful. As Lester knows, we live in a great place and we don´t miss the big cities!

Sorry for my english!
