I keep thinking a hud for my motorbike with speed / gear selected, rpm and maybe map direction arrow would be cool.
Especially if linked to a GPS tracker and the soundsystem. You could take a left turn in to the wilderness, discover the ideal piece of road and record the twisty goodness for later replay!
The cruise industry is a multi-billion industry at the moment and getting bigger each year. A cruise "liner" that can take you inland for a safari, as well as the usual stops, will be very popular.
It won't be long before P&O or Disney or Carnival decide that their next $500 million cruise liner will be an air ship as they need to get the next step up on their competition. And with that kind of money in the game, things will happen quickly.
And I'm okay with that :)
Yes, it is daring from an engineering perspective. Yes, it hasn't been done before.
But remember that all of the great engineering triumphs of the last 10,000 years meet these criteria. The 7 wonders, powered flight, the Apollo program. Name your favourite.
Mr Musk has a proven habit of achieving what he sets out to do. I’m willing to bank on his track record.
