It is not Americans that cause these problems. It is the fault of the self supporting and illegitimate plutocracy that has replaced our democracy. Our government has become so corrupt that nothing short of a bloody revolution and all out civil war could change it. I keep seeing all the "we hate Americans" bullshit on this site. It is the government that is the problem not the people.
This behavior is not done by Americans FOR Americans, it is done to Americans and everyone else by a completely corrupt government and their three initialed goons. The People and the Government are two separate entities, this is the shared problem of all average citizens of the world. Nothing will change unless the governments are replaced. Then it will happen all over again.
am very happy with HP's decision. All my in house PCs are HPs and the company I work for still uses XP across all of its locations, save for mine. Hopefully Lenovo follows suit. My traveling sales staff and the upper echelon of entitled users (a.k.a CEO and the like) are too occupied with actual work for me to have to train for a transition to Windows 8.
(After a mishap with gravity that fragged my daughters Windows 8 ultra book ssd, she is now learning to use Linux on spinning rust.=^D)
Bring on Windows 9.
Many of us are blissfully ignorant of the danger the actions of our government pose to the rights we take for granted. Unless it causes their Interwebs and FaceSpaces to not let them play their little Flash based games and share too much personal information most Americans are incapable of caring. We have become indolent and ignorant. Those of us that are capable of seeing and understanding the risks are labeled as paranoid or nut-jobs.
