Shirley this is entrapment? Sabu, under FBI guidance, asked Hammond to attack the servers of Stratfor.

Ok he didn't have to do it but one could argue that Hammond would not have committed the crime he has been sentenced for if it was not for the FBI and their grass leading him in to the crime.

When hackers get more years than murderers and rapists then there is something wrong. Lots of long sentences recently for those hurting the ego of the USG and media corps.

It's like everything, easy when you know how. Hacking brings out a bit of jealousy or longing to be able to do it too, as everyone has someone they would like to hack.

Nothing special about hacking but the term hacker will always have that dark allure about it.

This is just a way to bring in new laws that the public can be semi-happy about without realising it is a step towards blocking anything the US and UK governments want to block, mostly on behalf of the media corporations. No mission creep needed.
