Hang on, what about that robot calling for reservations feature?

Google showcased that feature a while back where the assistant could call a business, say a restaurant, and make a booking/reservation for you.

It hasn't launched in the UK yet, but if they are removing phone calls does that mean it will never launch?

I still can't understand why this isn't a feature on an iPad.

How many people have a house or family iPad - as in, one that everyone uses and shares? But they still don't allow multiple accounts to access the iPad. So if you don't want your family accessing your various accounts you need to sign out of everything every single time you use the iPad, rather than just signing out of your iPad account and leaving the device for someone else to use.

If they want these things to be a viable alternative to laptops, surely they need to incorporate one the most basic ways of accessing a laptop?

Generally speaking, no major problems however...

Netflix refuses to let me adjust the volume in app and will cause the picture to freeze but the sound continues to play (but not adjusted according to the button presses). My N7 then becomes unresponsive so have to kill all the running apps.

Only happens maybe 4/10 times, and the workaround for the sound issue is to increase it in the system settings first which is not ideal but according to phandroid.com they are pushing out an update to Nexus devices as we type.

Will this, or any of these services work over WiFI?

I've tried the HTC one on my old Desire HD, the Samsung one on my Galaxy S3 and ones from other 3rd party developers and when I'm testing it out it never manages to establish a connection/locate the phone/make it ring when I'm connected by WiFi.

My mobile data is never switched on as it drains the battery too quick, and there is WiFi coverage pretty much everywhere I go so I have no need for it, and if the phone has been robbed, or lost and I can't connect to it to remotely turn 3G on, what's the point?

GiffGaff have a very helpful "Unlockopedia" which will give you a load of information on how to unlock your phone - and if it's old it may well be free to do. Just a couple of codes entered and bam!

I've had to pay £15 to get mine unlocked, but well worth it and I've made that money back in one and a half months after leaving T-Mobile to switch to GiffGaff. Best decision I ever made (as far as phone contracts go anyway)
