When you look at screen quality, fit and finish, and specifications Apple gear is usually competitively priced. The Windows world is so varied that on any given day SOMEONE has a deal that is better. You will always get good value for money with Apple when you factor in resale value. Windows laptops have NONE.

I work for an Apple dealer in Canada & we have had a run on older models that are increasingly not available. Many are worried that corporate 32-bit apps may have problems with the new 64-bit processor, rightly or wrongly. Once this is sorted, I think Apple's sales will surge, big-time in corporate-land. Retail consumers have been waiting for the new models because they are, well, newer.

In my experience selling IT kit in Quebec, this is probably the diciest area to do business in Canada. Got taken for $37,000 Apple gear. Biker country; if you want to disappear, do it here. I will not do business with Quebec anymore (unless they are nationwide). Visit the customer or they might be vapour!

Right click on the drive in the launcher bar, select "format", click "format. No problem (Ubuntu12.04). Just did it on my Toshiba Portege Z835 ultrabook which has been running flawlessly for a year. I came from the Mac world & haven't needed the command line once. All laptop features work including keyboard backlight, webcam audio, etc.
