What lets vendor comparisons down is when they are half the truth.

S3 comes in different classes and pricing and can be still cheaper than the 200k.

Also, hardware comes with mgmt & hosting costs.. sigh.

HipChat is complete trash at the moment. You cannot have multiple channels on the same email address, mobile app only supports a single channel, etc etc. Fix the fundamentals before focusing on gimmicky video.

I think this whole scaremongering about Elliot is really mis-founded.

Citrix will be fine. It did need a change at the top. Tt had taken far too long for it to release its cloud solution. Lets see what the new CEO and CItrix as a whole brings in the new year. It really should be a much more lucrative and profitable year than previous years, especially with Windows 10, and the release of its new Cloud solution...

VMware solution for the VDI is crap. Everyone knows it.. lack of session reliability, mapping local drives, support for WAN optimisation, list goes on. If Citrix can be the premium solution in the VDI space and also match its costs, then it is on a winner.

I like Turnbull and to be honest, this is not the worst idea in the world by far! The problem is the budget has blown out from 40 billion to 90 billion and growing.. That is ridiculous. I pay a fukload of taxes and there needs to be some sense. Not everyone needs fibre tomorrow, or even 2190! I agree that may need to extend the fibre-to-node areas to more metropolitan residential areas, but the idea isn't half as bad. It's easy for everyone to jump on the I hate Coalition bandwagon, but when you are paying the taxes, 100mbit to watch some porn on tv for a budget that's grown 2 or 3 times more, is ridiculous..
