Andy Prough and Homer 1, claim your upvotes for the two best comments I've read in ages. You both cut through the veneer of someone wholly overrated (and today: worshipped).
To say that Woz wouldn't have amounted to anything had it not been for Jobs... I think you need to get your coat.

The same bloke muttered in 1977 "a computer on every desk and in every home" -- back in the day when people laughed at the statement. Why would everyone need a computer? AT HOME even!!!
Don't forget - some countries (eg the US) have an Internet Killswitch at the ready.
We're already being seeded/conditioned by mainstream media that "China's" alleged hacking is a growing concern.
I can imagine a scenario in the not too distant future where an alleged electronic threat is in progress (and Iraq has WMD!) and the Internet Killswitch is put into effect.
(include in that the possibility of mass social unrest and the need to clobber Twitter and FB via the killswitch as has been done by some governments already)
What will happen to all your files and systems on the cloud then?
(some may assert that it wouldn't matter because the internets are down anyway - which I proactively disagree with)
It's not just about YOUR files and infrastructure that you carefully designed for redundancy ("I'm alright Jack") - because there are so many businesses and entities out there that are blindly relying solely upon the cloud...
The first two strikes can be for wholly unrelated items - and we know that certain sectors of society have no real defence when charges are laid upon them - hence incrementing the strike count.
If this Snicker stealer were to simply incorporate (Snicker Bar Stealers LLC / LTD) he will never get jailed again. Why don't more 'physical crime' criminals just incorporate? :)
These clowns doing the robocalling will just incorporate as another DBA (Andersen Consulting Scandal --> Accenture) and pop up somewhere else.
Jan H: Agree. Skype /used/ to be good with decent call quality though.
I too noticed you can no longer exit from the menu! That's just since MS bought Skype. "Go figure" - they even oppose their own sacrosanct UI Guidelines on the desktop these days too.
Service has been shoddy in the last six months or so. Line quality often so poor you have to redial (it's digital though! no analogue excuse here!) and calls >20mins get mysteriously dropped at least 70% of the time for me. If you owned Skype and wanted to game it a bit for more profit (having paid $8.5 BILLION for the company), why not drop some calls now and then... /cynicism
That said, I still prefer a bit of hardship via Skype versus the rates I /used/ to pay for international calls from the likes of BT/AT&T.
Fair amount of tosh being written - such as ALL failovers are not immediate. I ran some of the world's largest realtime systems (banking, airlines) for 15yrs and it's imperative an immediate seamless failover is there the second you need it. Realtime loads were switched from one mainframe complex to another on a different continent in less than five seconds - with zero downtime.
