25 years ago a had to submit an IT project (as a website) to two different lectures for marking, the one of the Computer Science School insisted that text uses the "blink" function or I would fail and the one from "Digital Art and Design" department instead that I would fail if I used "Blink".
But since we keep seeing articles about PC's being vulnerable malicious code in in.PGN and.JPG then we can assume all our emails will have Bitcoin mining mail ware on them from now on in the form of a dancing chicken.
I would suggest that the crypto key is issued by the government that is the "country of origin" where the data is sent from or stored ie. website/email from example.com would use a SSL key/cert issue by uk.gov allowing data for the .co.uk website to be decrypted by those officials that need to access the data legally. Of course, this would be have be compulsory stopping cert providers issuing certs to data providers in another country.
I work in the IT industry, when I want a pay rise I start looking for jobs and going to interviews at a different company. Leave means they have to negotiate you back and it they value me that much they will offer more than my new employer. The trouble is that directors do work like computer logic, so you need to think in a non IT way and be aggressive/pushy as possible when it comes to pay rises. It also never hurts to keep moaning to your boss about it, (like they care about you as a mate).
Yes the Civil Liberties of a thug that says I did not spit in the face of a police officer to the Judge, would a body camera prove this, on the same site a camera can raise the standard of policing.
There is a certain kind of person that studies Civil Liberties, the same kid of people that want to give paedophiles protection and radicalists rights to stay in the UK
