United Nations: 'Overpopulated Earth? Time to EAT BUGS'

mertron1

it will be hundreds or thousands of years before we have the technology to colonize another planet fit for human survival.....its about time we truly turn our attentions to saving the only planet we have...for years we have ignored the population problem...women with the approval of their spouse (and in some cases not) popping out kids like there's no future...knowing they do not have the means to fully provide for them. The ignorance of mankind will be its final defeat............and sooner than later....!!!

Virgin on London Underground Wi-Fi: O2's company, Three's a crowd

Virgin Mobile coughs to choking its customers

mertron1

the jokes on us

so the question is whether customers would sign up to a service that offers up to 8mb/sec only to flog them off with 2mb/sec speed that still might not be guaranteed....the answer is obviously no....but unfortunately they forget to mention this to their own customers. i call this not only misleading the very people who keep them profitable and in business but down right scandalous.....these mobile networks just seem to have a free reign in doing anything they want without consequence with the regulator (ofcom) pathetically weak to do anything about it...and if they do its years away and by that time the networks would already have profited enough to introduce new ways of scamming thir customers.

Shocked Zynga investors get a penny per share

mertron1

zynga was never worth the amount it came in at....you would hope that investors would have learnt from the last .com bubble....companies that dont even make a profit or have no real future projections for long term stable growth....all just hype and word of mouth...plus overinflated forecasts......to buy an app developer that only made 1 game (draw something) for £200 million says it all....their games were fun to play but even if they had gone to mobiles quicker they would have started losing money....as the games just became tiresome after a while.

Wii-U boat torpedoes Nintendo's '¥20bn profit' into ¥20bn loss

Pirate

the end

i've been saying this for years even before the wii U was even introduced....i predicted that the wii would run out of steam due to the type of gamer it was targeting but more so because of the awful games it produced.....and said that their next gen machine had to be on the same level as sony and microsofts next offerings otherewise it would fail miserably.......then when they announced the wii U years before the others had even announced theirs yet i was scepticle because the specs would already be out of date before the ps4 or 720(silly name if it is) came into play.....the touch pad was an interesting idea that would have worked if the games matched up to it...but they dont and are bland and non-existant at best....i just dont understand how they could bring out a machine of this type...their still living in the past after seeing all thats happening in the past 5 yrs with mobile and pad devices and the incredible success of titles like modern warfare and halo...but they still rely on lame mario and zelda type titles....such idiots..wont be long before they either fold completely stop making consoles and develop only like sega did or be taken over by another company...just the way it is now but they should have seen it coming years ago.

Microsoft tries to sell home Office users on subscription pricing

mertron1
WTF?

this is just ridiculous.....they really need to think about what their doing here.....i mean really...the balance is just not there...and the more companies that start offering similar packages for a much reduced price or free the less significant office will seem...you only have to look at whats happening in the highstreet as a comparison to see that....customers aint as reliable and more tech savvy as before.

...microsoft have a good opportunity to get it right and really make a difference with their office suite but this is not the right way....lets hope they get it right in the near future otherwise it will be a mass exodus of biblical proportions....
