"Restoring free speech"? You know twitter is a private company right? As a private company they have the right to make and enforce rules. That is how a company exercises its "Free Speech"
"Collusion"? You mean government agencies abiding by the rules and politely asking for false misinformation to be removed and the company voluntarily granting SOME of the requests?
The 1st amendment deals with GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP. It does not apply here. There was never any free speech issues.
Please learn how government works.
You really drank the Kool aid. What do you think it takes to build a coal fired plant? Not only is the construction dirty, but it is dirty it's whole life. Solar on the other hand produces pollution during manufacture and then that is it. Thirty plus years of clean power. In spite of much propaganda to the contrary, it is not even close.
Clearly you never drove one. Safest, fastest, and most economical car on the road by a wide margin. You should rent one for a day. They are really fun to drive. As for overpriced, clearly you don't seem to consider the entire life cycle cost including trade-in. Tesla's are a bargain.
So many people have their panties in a knot over Twitter. Zoom out a little and all of this seems really silly. Social media will continue to churn with the flavor of the day - Remember Myspace? Ask Jeeves? GeoCities? Elon say a lot of silly stuff. I pay more attention to what people actually do. But at the end of the day one million emission free cars does actually move the needle. What have you done to mitigate climate change? Recycled some cans?
Why? Because that's the way we always do it. Given that the vast majority of documents are delivered electronically today and never see dead trees, It seems to me that this obsession with formatting is the result of the intransigence of the human mind. All I know about outlook is the customers that called me after the ".pst" file reached 2 megs and crashed. I know that was a long time ago and it has been fixed for perhaps a decade, but I never got the whole outlook worship thing. People who like it seem to REALLY like it and that seems to be the entire business model for office 365. I've been a happy g-suite customer for many years and stopped installing any sort of office suite on my computer several upgrades ago. People tell me how terrible G-suite is all the time but they are never very specific. As far as I can tell it is all bout what you know how to use. Once you know where all the bodies are buried in word and excel, it is hard to start again. I try and explain to people how foolish it is to trust your work to the spinning rust in your own computer. So listen, some don't.
The digital economy cannot operate under the same rules as brick and mortar. Edison started the music industry and it had a profound effect on how music was created and performed. It rewarded the "best" performers and punished the rest. This had the effect of reducing diversity and created the ivory towers of the super stars, who could dash off an album every couple of years and spend the rest of their time doing drugs. Now technology has removed the barriers to entry and created a huge supply of original music and democratized music once again. Forgive me if I don't cry for the billionaires who have lost their meal ticket and are forced to work for a living like the rest of us. The good news is we might not be subjected to the formula driven "pop" garbage that the old model made possible. People will always make and listen to music. Now they will start doing it for the right reasons again.
Running cost equal build cost? Really? My guess would be a small fraction of that. But let us assume that your inflated figures are correct. I get $178 in capital repayment (5%) and $100 in maintenance (so they collect 200K a month in maintenance. Guess they pay well. ) I don't know where you live but my electric bill is currently more that 270 a month so I am not sure what the subsidies you speak of are for. Thermal solar is very competitive.
