NASA budget shock: Climate studies? GTFO. We're making the Moon great again, says Trump

Fools never learn

So you have to harp on global warming again when there is no such thing and never has been. Man is no more responsible for the climate than ants are. The flawed data and the models that use it are all biased in favor of an outcome that lines the pockets of idiots and will never happen. We have been in a warming period for over 10,000 years. The global climate doesn't change because of man's actions, it takes way more energy to change it than man has ever brought to bear.

That is utterly hilarious, let's see the British Bullcrap Corporation gave an AMERICAN 1.5 million pounds to continue in his role on Top Gun. Worse, it's Matt LeBlanc who they chose in the first place.

Re: Michael Brown

Brown wasn't shot running away from the Police, he was shot as he grabbed the gun of Officer Wilson and tried to shoot HIM. He did not put his hands up and say don't shoot! This would not have even happened if he wasn't a thug who assaulted a convenience store employee to steal "Swisher Sweets" so he could roll a blunt. The assault is on video on the internet.

That's what your entirely biased media lied about in their efforts to paint him as a victim.

Re: Hmm

Funny you should say that. As Gun Ownership increases, overall crime has decreased.

Maybe, if the liberals darling project Obamacare provided ANY mental health benefits then the roughly 20,00 suicides by gunshot might not happen (Half of all shootings in the US are suicides)

Here are some very Interesting Facts About Gun Control:

There are 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms, and this number is not disputed. U.S. population 324,059,091 as of Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

Do the math: 0.0000925% of the population die from gun related actions each year. Statistically speaking, this is insignificant!)

What is never told, however, is a breakdown of those deaths, to put them in perspective as compared to other causes of death:

• 65% of those deaths are by suicide which would never be prevented by gun laws

• 15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified

• 17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons

• 3% are accidental discharge deaths

So technically, "gun violence" is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100.

Still too many? Well, first, how are those deaths spanned across the nation?

• 480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago

• 344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore

• 333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit

• 119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington D.C. (a 54% increase over prior years)

So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities. All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws, so it is not the lack of law that is the root cause.

This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation - or about 75 deaths per state. That is an average because some States have much higher rates than others.

For example, California had 1,169 - and Alabama had 1.

Now, who has the strictest gun laws by far? California of course but understand, so it is not guns causing this. It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states. So if all cities and states are not created equally, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths.

Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific? How about in comparison to other deaths? All death is sad and especially so when it is in the commission of a crime but that is the nature of crime. Robbery, death, rape, assault - all are done by criminals and thinking that criminals will obey laws is ludicrous. That's why they are criminals.

But what about other deaths each year?

• 40,000+ die from a drug overdose – THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT!

· 36,000 people die per year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths

• 34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities (exceeding gun deaths even if you include suicide)

Now it gets good:

• 200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical malpractice. You are safer in Chicago than when you are in a hospital!

• 710,000 people die per year from heart disease. It’s time to stop the double cheeseburgers!

So what is the point? If the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease in cardiac deaths would save twice the number of lives annually of all gun-related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.). A 10% reduction in malpractice would be 66% of the total gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides ....... Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions!

So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns? It's pretty simple. Taking away guns gives control to governments.

This is not conspiracy theory; this is a historical fact. Why is it impossible for the government to spill over into dictatorship?

Why did the Japanese not even attempt to attack California in WWII? Because as they put it, there is a gun behind every blade of grass.

The founders of this nation knew that regardless of the form of government, those in power may become corrupt and seek to rule as the British did by trying to disarm the populace of the colonies. It is not difficult to understand that a disarmed populace is a controlled populace.

Thus, the second amendment was proudly and boldly included in the U.S. Constitution. It must be preserved at all costs.

So the next time someone tries to tell you that gun control is about saving lives, look at these facts and remember these words from Noah Webster:

"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole body of the people are armed and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force at the command of Congress can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power."

Exactly, "More Government" is not the answer. If government would get out of the way, businesses would be able to expand, if SJW's would shutup and go back to mommies basement instead of rioting for a $15 minimum wage businesses would consider hiring, if idiots would stop espousing communist and socialist ideals, we might have an economy worth investing in.

Only she did it 2,000 times more frequently (treat classified info cavalierly and with disdain for any security rules, she did not sign the papers that acknowledge that she returned all classified or other US State Department info to the government. Regardless of what you think about Windows, it has a greater market share and thus will always be targeted by those criminals.

The second that other operating systems become more popular, these virus writing scum will make "product" that targets the more popular OS. This has already happened with Mac's and the other are next.

Yelp minimum wage row shines spotlight on … broke, fired employee

Dan Paul

Re: Several Problems

Sam Kinison once said to starving Ethiopians "You live in a STEENKING DESERT, Move!

In the same way, "poor Talia" should stop crying, stop trying to publicly shame her company (THAT got her fired) and finally stop blaming everyone else for her own stupidity. Then she needs to move out of state because between all the social services costs and the artificially inflated costs of living in San Francisco she WON'T get a better wage in Communist California! She could make way more money as a trimmer for a dispensary grow up north!

Yelp is not a company that anyone should work for. Plain and simple...that's it. MOVE ON...

If this young woman expects that she is going to get an ENTRY LEVEL job in San Francisco (One of the highest costs of living in the world) that pays enough, she is sadly mistaken. $1,200 month income does not support $1,350 in bills! And that's just bad budgeting because her costs are greater than that.

Sorry if you believed liberal election year wage promises that they could never deliver on.

If she wants to be close to her dad she should move back home until she gets a good enough paying job? Or did she piss him off? Make a choice and grow up Talia.

The fact is that a $15 minimum wage would put most of the mom and pop shops out of business. As this young foolish lady is complaining she already does not make enough money, what part of the new minimum wage will be eaten up in ludicrous cost increases?

Where do you people think money comes from? Where do you think payroll comes from? Are you all as ignorant as socialist Christoph? Does money grow on trees? Did you think Obama is blameless in this? It is his failed policies that created the demand for Donald Trump.

Better get used to calling him President Trump!

Brit airline pilots warn of drone menace

Dan Paul

Re: Drones can't crash airplanes (Oh yes they can!)

You are thinking of propeller driven planes which I grant may be difficult to take down with only a small drone. The speed of a single engine prop driven plane isn't usually much beyond 100 MPH.

However, commercial passenger carrying aircraft are almost ALL jets or turbojets (Props driven by jets).

The speed of a jet is considerably higher than a prop plane, therefore the impact forces will be greater.

If a single seagull or duck can disable a jet rotor then a single drone can do the same thing. Even debris on the runway is enough to knock one out of commission.

State Department finds 22 classified emails in Hillary’s server, denies wrongdoing

Dan Paul

Re: Spot the oxymoron (Yes, YOU!)

Of the 1,000 emails that shouldn't be on her server, there are 22 MORE emails that are so highly classified that the DoJ reviewers had to be "read in" to the program (IE added to the allowed list) and that the subject of the emails can never be seen outside those few people. They are so highly redacted that they will never be released to the public!

Is that factual enough for you? If not then shut up and stop commenting about politics that you obviously don't understand but seem to want to shill for the second greatest liar and thief I have ever seen in my life.

Carefully placed? You mean like all the anti Republican comments carefully inserted by the left leaning NWO at the Register?

Dan Paul

Uma Abedin is also responsible..

Uma Abedin (Hillary Clintons secretary) deliberately removed these classified headers on the emails so they could be sent to Hillary Clintons illegal private mail server. This is all covered in various WAPO and NYT articles.

Dan Paul

Re: Thursday's lunch menu

The people that were reviewing these emails had to be read in to the program because their TOP SECRET CLEARANCE wasn't high enough to be allowed read these emails. These emails were edited by Huma Abedin to REMOVE "CLASSIFIED" HEADERS so she could email them to Hillary on her illegal, insecure private email server and then she lied to congress about it.

Hillary scoffs at any law because she and Bill feel they are above the laws of this country.

So you are an avowed shill for Hillary and still don't understand that General David Petraeus was drummed out of the service for treating classified material in exactly the same callous manner as Hillary Clinton did. Not only that, but the level of secrecy was far greater in Hillary's case than in the Petraeus' case.

Maybe you should stop commenting on US politics, because YOU haven't got a clue what you are speaking about.

There already IS a law that is supposed to prevent this type of behavior by ANY government employee.

I believe they call it the Official Secrets Act and General David Petreaus was already sacked under it for having Top Secret classified documents outside the office. That law also covers using private UNSECURE email accounts to pass Top Secret information.

Hillary Clinton clearly violated this law when she was Secretary of State and now the CIA director violated it.

In fact, it appears that the entire Obama administration thinks they can violate the laws of the US with impunity.

Dan Paul

Re: yeah, that'll work..

"Practically" speaking, a drone can follow a pre-set flight path that could be programmed in. RC aircraft are usually remote piloted

RC stands for radio/remote controlled and a drone can be controlled this way but it is often autonomous until the payload is to be delivered.

EITHER method could be used for nefarious purposes and RC Aircraft can carry a much higher payload that a COTS drone from Amazon. (Commonly available, off the shelf)

Some RC aircraft have a 10 ft wingspan which means that the payload could be a significant concern.

David Bowie: Musician, actor... tech admirer

Dan Paul

Re: Glum (Me too)

I have to agree with you about the quality of music today and it's lack of innovation and style. Especially since I'm a 60 year old "fogey" but the younger generations think so too.

Even 15 to 22 y/o kids (those with musical taste at least) agree. Personal conversations with many of these kids have shown they think most 60's/70's/80's artists are fully head and shoulders above most recent talent.

Over the last 10 to 12 years at Artpark in Lewiston NY, USA there have been some pretty damn good 60's/70's/80's bands that have come through and I can only lament that when those artists have gone on the final tour, so will be the venue's popularity.

Dan Paul

Bowie truly was "alien" and way before his time...

David Bowie will be sadly missed. He was always way ahead of trends in almost every aspect of his life and music. If any performer qualified for the title, he was a true "alien". His performances transcended music and influenced the art world and his androgynous persona was light years ahead of recent viewpoints of sexuality.

It is too bad that age and disease are taking influential artists like Bowie and others from this world.

It is a darker place without them and there seemingly will be no comparable replacements.
