Re: When Journalist become flamers...

To supplement this: whilst the article mentions the 15 years (which I think is about 60 trillion cubic feet), the BGS estimate 4.7 trillion feet. The number of years you get from this is based on 100% extraction too, which is highly unrealistic. Good balanced writing here, as ever.

Re: Here's a mad, crazy idea.

But nor would all that money let you have limitless gas. It's a good stopgap till we find something sustainable, renewable or not.

Re: So, given that my cards are in my wallet

I already have four or wireless cards in my wallet, but it only has three flaps. Innovation in wallets is lagging severely behind. Things are getting desperate!

Amazon makes BEELLIONS from British customers, pays pennies in tax

One of the differences it makes is to other companies which are too small/honest/stupid (delete as per your opinion) to be able to wrangle out of paying as much tax as the spirit of the law requires. If Amazon payed full rate, yes their prices may go up, but that would bring them in to line with other companies who pay their tax, which makes the market more competitive, and in theory (ho ho ho) brings prices back down.

I'm thinking of beer, at least...
