'Windows 9' LEAK: Microsoft's playing catchup with Linux

Pingviini

I need multiple desktops this day and age. I can have on one desktop a program "full screen" on second I can have three programs side by side etc. and switching between is just one click or mouse roll away. Comparing to my work mates, waiting them to "by the pixel" adjusting 2-4 programs side to side to see what's going on or when using new win7 or w208/12xx dialogs where the text don't even match to the dialog space and you have vertical/horizontal scroll all the time. That's pain to watch and wait for.

So, who actually needs multiple desktops in this day and age? The short answer: everyone.

Re: orly

And if you dare use games outside Steam, you have more. Just type "linux games" to big G...

Most are indie games, which makes them no worse or better than megabuck productions, chance is that you might find actually interesting games.

Re: orly

Yeah, I had similar experience when I tried to run tux racer on cygwin/x on my Windows. Can't wait for more...

Or I just could have played with games *made for* windows (or linux, if you see the point)...

Re: Criminal Resposibility

Yes, I'm a Finn, and the age is 15 years. And also the funds for the police are cut down year by year to fight REAL crime (like MC gangs, dirty contractors on building business etc.). As fas as I know, the responsibility is not transferred to parents (I asked a layer couple years ago when then 3y son hit neighbour car with his bike, and I was asked for money).

But as a taxpayer it warms my heart to see that they still has resources to send TWO non uniforms to mission important like this...http://www.theregister.co.uk/Design/graphics/icons/comment/black_helicopters_32.png
