I used to be a Wells-Fargo client long time ago and I can confirm that their website was rock solid and generally much more user friendly than the websites f banks I now use. Which does not change the fact that all company (banks / utilities etc.) website become more and more cluttered and unusable with time.
I work in a research institution which has the same Internet domain from 1992. Every few years some "genius" proposes to "improve" it, forgetting that for over 25 years of our research people all over the world have added email addresses with that domain to their address books. Also all our research papers have the corresponding author's email address in that domain. We now have two domains and I dread the dey when a pointy-hair manager decides to save on the old one. However it will not be done soon because... the old one is painted on the wall of our main building in letters larger than a grown manager.
For full transparency, I'll add that I'm partial because I chose and registered the original domain of the company (the one painted on the building) in the time my bosses had no idea what Internet is.
Although sometimes it thinks it is.
The problem with the law is not restricting anyone to call themselves engineers but putting this restrictions on real engineers who have diploma from other constituencies. What if they had an international engineering conference in Portland or Corvallis? Should every participant be fined?
I would fuse Lesson #1 and #2 into "No private surfing at work" but I would sound like a very anal person. The only reason it works with me is I actually have no time for that. I dread the day by boss realizes I practically never sit down behind my desk but rather spend time talking to people (this is how I do management tasks). He could have tried to save some space and money on my office :)

I still receive sextortion threats based on a throwaway password I used on the websites which quality I respected least (one of them was Yahoo which is the one I believe the password was stolen from). The spams seemed more fun than a threat.
However the new idea of sending out bomb threats shows how stupid those people are. They upped their game from fraud to terrorism with all the expected legal consequences.
