CEO told to die in a car crash after firing engineers who had two full-time jobs

But if they were putting in 80 hours

I’m sure he would have found it ok if they had been putting in 80 hours a week in and not have felt that was taking a job from someone. Specially since they were likely salaried.

Night vision in the 70’s

Yes soldiers did not like night vision gear in the 70’s. Because it sucked.

It was heavy, attached badly to the helmet (designed for the steal-pot but used in the Kevlar.) covered both eyes, and was like looking through a straw.

Over time they improved it and made it useful. So now it is widely used.

This could have potential but does not sound like it is ready.

Re: wow

Providing EMS in the area of his church is interesting. People "over come by the spirt" left laying on the floor while having seizures for 15 to 20 min before anyone bothers to call 911.

I was so glad I did not live in his district so I did not have to see his name on the ballot.

Dan Johnson of KY

proposed the porn tax, then was accused of sexual assault, further accusations of sexual relations with a minor. He then, after denying any of it being true, went and killed himself on the side of a road near where his church is. (yeah, he was a minister).

His wife ran to take his place but lost by 60+% of the vote.

Politician claims porn tabs a malware experiment, then finds God

This guy is a Walter Mitty (Stolen Valor) POG also

His comment "Thanks for the Tab Check Ranger Buddies" is due to his false claim that he was an Airborne Ranger.

His thinking is that since he was a legal clerk assigned to the 2nd Ranger Battalion, that automatically made him a Ranger. It did not, a Ranger is someone that has completed the Ranger course of training and awarded a "tab" (patch that goes over the unit patch)

So being called on his false claim of having a Tab, he waffles and tries to twist things just like he did with the porn.

Ohio voting machines have 'backdoor', lawsuit claims

I live in Ohio...

I can't speak about the rest of the sate, but in the North East Area (Cleveland Metro area), Columbus, and Toledo the ballots are paper that you fill in a bubble on. When you're done, you take the paper to the poll worker who scans them into a huge dustbin that is locked up with the scanner built into the top. None of these "touch screens" or ATM style voting.

Or you can respond to the letter the state mails to every voter and get your paper ballot in the mail. you fill out the bubbles and mail it back to the state. Again, no touch screens, lines, rude poll workers, etc. Or you can show up at the BOE office and fill out the paper ballot in person the week before the election.

Of course all this gets Ohio a bill for several millions more each year than just one day of in person voting...but they make up for that with a voter turn out the same as all other states in the region with one day in person voting.
