From an early age, we are dispatched into the custody of strangers for training; academic excellence is not a measure of intelligence or growth as a human being but a measure of the degree to which our training has succeeded. Well-trained believers in legal, political and economic fiction reinforce the system of control. Arguably, the best trained (ie. the most highly qualified) are most subservient to fictional authority and represent the biggest obstacles to change.

Businessweek: 'It's Global Warming, Stupid'

Don't let science get in the way of a good story

Let's not let data or science get in the way of denier bashing. The pundits proclaim frankenstorm Sandy (like Katrina) as being caused by "global warming" (which hasn't been evident in the temperature record for over a decade). Chris Landsea of NOAA resigned from the IPCC because of repeated unsubstantiated claims of a causal relationship between global warming and extreme weather. The science underlying the recent SREX report from the IPCC shows no correlation.
