Missing the point

Your missing the point here; most pc users are too thick or unskilled to use anything else apart from windows. When the EeePC was being sold in the hight street there was big signs saying "THIS DOES NOT RUN WINDOWS". After a quick chat with the inept sales guy he told me that folk were demanding a refund because the EeePc did not come with windows. So if the public refuse to buy non windows laptops then it is quite likely Asus will continue to ship them with an OS they can sell. Relex and chill its only an OS.

oh Really Cool but......

Unless it can do a cross city commute on a single charge it is nothing but a toy, this is a 60mile with traffic, not a rolling road or perfect test track.

The batteries also my be a problem.... anyone with a laptop knows you get about 200-300 charge cycles (no pun) before you need a new one. So if you are using a leccy bike everyday for a commuting in less than a year you could need a new battery pack. Which could outway the cost of any fuel saving.

Noise: This might seem a mute point (again no pun) but electric bike might be too quiet for the average pavement crawler to notice them coming.

You can only recover your system if you have access to a working system in the first place most folk will think it was their system and a virus rather than the AVG-Virus already installed.

Do a PHD or a MSC but who can afford it; really!!! its so expensive and has little regard in "real" industry; How often have you heard the term "their CV is to academic" its a real kick in the $£$£. Maybe you can get a job and do it part time; With an average cost of around £10000 for a masters the OU this is hardly pocket money and there are few employeers that will pay that for science or technical staff (they seem to be glad to fork out oodles of cash for accountants and hapless business managers). Don't get me started!
