Where is the category?
Right when we see the start of the real tangible possibility of rise of the machines, the register goes completely left for several years on all of us, and removes the category XD

I've not personally watched it for 5 years, and haven't paid my license fee for 3 years.
I am shocked that one of the key points of the article, the end to end encryption by Facebook, which includes WhatsApp messenger has not yet a single comment, although I believe there was an article sometime ago about it.
Seems they are still pushing for it to be banned. I would imagine one day they will ban any app using e2e encryption, from the ministry of culture itself how 1984.
As far as I can tell, there's a direct correlation between the increase in skin cancer over the last 30 to 40 years - and cell phone masts.
It's either the sun, which really hasn't changed much, or the cell phone towers.
I mean it's among the first cells it hits in your body.
I guess time will tell.
Once you realise the exact same wavelength used for 5g communication, also doubles up as a wide range weaponised skin burner (only God knows what happens if the powers cranked up and a curther 6 years of development) O would not be surprised if this is the worst act of treason, its like placing nuclear bombs in every street.
Look up the "Active Denial System" and youll find 5g boxes use the exact same frequency meaning these can turn your local area into a microwave that can be controlled remotely.
In my tin foil mind, too many peoole get sucked into this kind of narrative, i.e. there are three world superpowers fighting to win. That is required for war.
At some level they are all ownes by corporations, ones larger than Russia or Putin, these coeporations have no borders, thet only appear to, and its those same corporations, that want the masses to believe they do, because war is profit. If you knew the world was run by one big corporation that pretty much controls it all (woth even fewer controlling that from the top) you wouldnt bother with this level of politics which is imho further theatre to perpetuate the illusion that anything they tell us about the leadership of us and who is actually RUNNING THE SHOW is REAL!
When analysing politics, I always like to view the situations through the most far out lens - consider the possibility that the earth is flat.
That would mean that almost every country is hiding/sharing/covering up at least that one common objective.
It would then appear everything else in the "news" about "politics" is entirely orchestrated.
Not saying its true, but an interesting perspective to consider.
Puts tin foil hat on -
It appears that the USA/UK happened to "accidentally" strike the target. After everything I've seen it doesn't appear unintentional. As the Russians put it - it was at least gross negligence, at worst assisting "ISIS".

If the West can't get Syria, from a strategic point of view, it loses most of the Middle East to Russia and Russian doing a very good job at stopping that from happening.
Meanwhile the West is doing anything at the costs of millions of lives to ensure that does happen.
“Choo Choo Mother......” is a catchphrase used to characterize a popular opinion or sentiment as a force of momentum that cannot be slowed down or opposed.
Democracy passes into Despotism. - Plato.
In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.
Big Brother is watching you. - George Orwell
You hit the nail on the head with every single point - I am surprised this does not have many more upvotes, one up from me!
That is the current state of the world.
Conventional news sources such as the BBC News would like to tell you and many others a slightly different story.
A typical "phishing" attempt, just expects to get the username and password from a user by mirroring the look of the site - this particular hack was doing this but also subverting all of Google's other failsafes (2-step etc) by also fooling Google's backend servers into giving it a login cookie, when it really should not have been giving one hence the bug - perhaps by also mirroring Google's request for this login cookie in a way that succesfully fooled their systems......security isn't my day job (although I.T. certainly is!), but it was more than your typical "phishing" attempt, but as others have noted, it still would have required somebody to actually click the link in the initial e-mail......
Losing control of your e-mail account (especially your Google account), for me, means almost losing my current identity, I am looking for ways to shift that control back to myself, by perhaps having my own linux mail server and then using this address instead of Google's, meaning, I can choose what information I might want to send to Google (for the convenience and use of their excellent software.....), and all e-mails initially arrive at an address other than the one I publicise.
Of course this then leaves my servers open to the WWW and I then have to secure this myself......
I agree, but faith in one's self is only faith as far as you know it, if you truly believed without a shadow of a doubt could you fly? Could pigs fly? Lol
Our limitations are taught, as long as there is doubt, about anything, it is not possible - so to believe 100% without a shadow of doubt that you will eventually die, does this belief alone ultimately cause you to die?
Your reality is entirely within your own head, we have no way of knowing the following:-
1. Is what we are experiencing actually what is out there?
2. Is anyone else conscious or do they just appear to be?
3. When we are not there, as a conscious observer, does it continue to exist?
So really you could argue that anything you are reading/experiencing is actually a manifestation of your own beliefs.......but do you have the power to influence that?!
I'd like to say that for all my sins (against who?!), one of my friends, and myself, when we were younger created the equivalent of frog hell, we hammered them, cut their brains out, removed limbs etc, I couldn't find it in myself now to hurt a fly, unless they deserved it, and it would take a lot to deserve it....and we did this with no scientific aim - so I can vouch for what you are saying!
Another recent article highlighted how Google was removing whatever services it can from the core Android OS - helping towards beating fragmentation which Android is well known for.
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/09/balky-carriers-and-slow-oems-step-aside-google-is-defragging-android/
As these features are now included in the "Google Play Service" - which has pretty much every permission assigned to it, if you use Google Apps - which everyone seemingly does including myself, then they have the ability to install anything on your phone, without any notice to the unsuspecting user so Android is probably the easiest to hack currently! If you disable the service, no Google apps continue to work!! then again if you use the apps, all your e-mails/calendar/google searches are all up in the cloud anyway!!
True, they may have a smaller profit margin, per unit sold, however even if they make less money, putting a Samsung in someones hand, means they don't buy an Apple (cutting Apples profit from that person), and in the future, may choose to stay Samsung/dung whatever your opinion, meaning in the long term they may overtake Apple using this tactic, if they successfully arm more customers with any device from the Android/Samsung product line.
I work with hardcore tecchies who choose Apple for everything - they buy a phone to be a phone and it does - I truly believe nowadays if you buy either you'll enjoy it and stick with that choice. They bought Apple initially and they love it. In fact we've suffered detriments to our working relationship over me arguing the toss for Samsung, and them defending Apple.....the excitement in my job, lol. - personally I find it funny that people can get personally offended over their choice for an electronics device.
