You don't understand that only a complete idiot gives out their bank details over the phone to anyone from India, claiming to be with the US IRS. I don't give my bank details to people I know. I SURE AS heck, wouldn't give my bank details to someone on the phone with an East Indian accent. Claiming to be from the IRS.

Employers use Personality Tests for reasons they don't mention. It's not anonymous, despite what they say. They can track you via several methods and know what answers you give. They want to personality profile staff in order to determine who is of the hive mind or who is an "individual". Hive mind answers are always best, whether they are your real personality or the personality you use to keep things running smoothly and do your job well.
That IBM Watson nonsense was just a trick used to attempt to make AI appear to be a good idea. In reality, Watson is completely useless and the spinning wheel spins while you wait for it to answer simple questions based on data it actually has access to. Their cloud nonsense is useless, and don't even get me started on how selling it's Intel Server business to the same Chinese company who bought Motorola isn't inspiring a lot of customer confidence, these days.
So, flaws in AI personality are due to human personality flaws? And AI can be taught to act as stupid and pathetic as humans can? Great. AI becomes as screwy as humanity. That's the last thing humanity needs. Instead of focusing on AI and "machine learning", how about focusing on improving human performance, human intelligence, human memory, and human skills? That might actually advance the race of man faster and more accurately than creating Skynet and killing us all just to feed someone's pathetic ego.
Is the State of Cali going to insure that manufacturers of computer parts who are not headquartered in the State of Cali, produce parts that meet that low energy use spec? Some of us actually build our desktop PC's. How are they going to insure every computer part on the planet adhere's to what they want? They going to visit homes to do spot checks, make people open up their PC's, and flag them for not using low energy parts? I doubt it.
It's a bait and switch trick to get consumers to buy new PC's with Windows 10 installed. Nothing more. Nothing less. There have been different versions of this trick going on forever. My Mom's PC upgraded to Windows 10 and the video and audio no longer worked. Switched her back to Windows 7. No need for the upgrade. It isn't free any more anyway, and there's no need to spend money on it.
"Microsoft will release an updated Privacy Statement"?? How about Microsoft get rid of Satya Nadella and perhaps hire someone else who has the vision and the skills to lead this company. Nadella is a joke, compared to Steve Balmer. Even Balmer didn't have this many missteps and failures on his watch.
Wouldn't it be funny if Apple finally produced a "convertible" and it started selling like hotcakes? That's what happened when the iPad was first introduced. It wasn't a new idea (Microsoft created Tablet PC's years before Apple produced the first iPad). And Nadella's Windows 10 strong arm tactics could leave the door open enough for Linux and Mac OS to make gains against Windows.
Who is it again exactly who confirmed that Apple actually can, or has ever successfully written a custom build of iOS that can be installed on a locked phone for which no one but a dead man has the unlock PIN? And why exactly is it that the FBI couldn't get the NSA to do it, given that they are supposed to be able to hack anyone's phone?
Can't the NSA do this without involving Apple, at all? Couldn't the FBI have quietly asked the NSA to do this without it every appearing in the media via one of those "secret" court orders? Methinks Apple (i.e, TIM COOK) is more concerned about it being found out that they COULD comply and thus, create a perception of insecure iDevices, thus hampering sales?
Why would anyone set their iPhone's time to 1/1/1970 when clearly, that isn't the present date? Are we just looking for ways to crash iPhones so that we can report on how doing something most people would never do can crash an iPhone? Surely, there is something most people would normally do that might crash an iPhone?
