If they had all of this evidence it should have been put before a Federal Grand Jury. Search warrant and arrest warrants should be issued. A judge being able to freeze assets in secret on his own say so is scary. A clear violation of the fourth admendment ,not that the Supremes will do anything about it.
The level of proof required in a civil suit is much less than a criminal action. My guess is no gun was involved. Just playing the deep pocket theory. Sympathy for the "poor underclass worker" vs the washed up celeb. With the offer to settle out of court. In other words legal blackmail.
The first sentence is very confusing. "A US prosecutor has told Craigslist...". It implies he is a federal prosecutor not a state prosecutor.
This is clearly a federal issue. It crosses state lines and is not universally against the law. Some areas of Nevada prostitution is legal. As someone else pointed out, the yellow pages are full of ad's for escorts and massage therapists. Most Major cities have a left wing rag that has pages of ads.
This is very much like internet gambling. A Federal not a state issue.

The disarming of America has been going on for a long time. The U.S. Military is so small that it had to use mercenaries in Iraq (Blackwater). And don't tell me that we shouldn't be spending money on high tech equipment like the F-22. High tech equipment like the F-15 and F-16 is why the Iragi Air Force ceased to exist in the first gulf war making it possible for the low casualties on the ground.
I admit more money should be spent on better weapons for the troops on the ground and it should have been part of the stimulus package. But that money would have gone to states that voted against Obama.

911 is not always an emergency only number depending on where you live. When my car was broken into (Dallas, Tx). I was told to call 911 to get an incident report number for my insurance claim. Apt security had already notified the police since five other cars were broken into at the same time.
Actually the Supreme court has been watering down the Fourth amendment for many years. Roadblocks near bars are legal for "public safety" (DWI), the police no longer need probable cause to search your vehicle it is now" reasonable suspicion". If the police think you might have a weapon you can be searched to protect their safety ( the ruling discusses knives not gun like you would think, not that knives existed 200 years ago)

I gave my sister a Mac because even with anti-virus software and automatic updates turned on there is so much crap on her PC that it is unusable.
The stimulus package is nothing but Pork for politicians. A tax cut would have a bigger effect. So would changing the credit card rules so that companies can increase your interest because they want more cash. I know people who have walked away from credit card bills because they can't pay the new monthly rate. The the credit card companies ask for a bailout because their customers walked away from Usurers rates. It used to be called loan sharking.
You have got to be kidding!? A gift is a gift. Once it is given to you it is your property to do as you wish. This whole issue is typical Democrat. Obama is not the President. He is the President elect. And he has already stated that he is going to use Executive Orders to bypass Congress " because it is too slow".

Or should I say without deposit slips. Just put your stacks of checks in the ATM and it reads them and asks you to verify the amount. It just doesn't work all of the time. And if it doesn't happen to be able to read my checks I can't make an after hours deposit. If you don't pay the fine they put a warrant out for your arrest. Yeah I know it is a civil offense but they have manipulated the law to make the penalties criminal. And they don't even have to notify you by registered mail. Regular mail is ok.

Apple will always let me know about something new in iTunes but won't e-mail me about a critical security update. I check it every day but then again I am paranoid.
The Apple user that the Mac OS is supposed to target is clueless about these threats and need to be informed.

Do a little more research. Clinton-Gore started a lot of the crap that Bush is doing but they tried to sneak it under the radar by doing it administratively. Do a search for "Know your Customer" for a start. And gun control laws for a second. Read the second amendment for a perfect example of a very well written and clear sentence. A well regulated Militia is something that did not exist in New Orleans because the Democrats had taken away law abiding citizen's guns.

Actually OJ has paid very little of his civil debt. Under Federal law his retirement can not be touched. Some how OJ got ruled a resident of Florida. Under Florida law the homestead can not be touched. Even if it is a million acres.
Unless he comes up with a new source of income he doesn't have to pay a dime.
He should have just given them the code and then used the fact that the airforce is using a program he wrote on his resume.
In "Surely you are joking Mr. Fynman", he talks about trying to get his one dollar out of the government for various patents. It is a weird quirk of law in the US. Even if your contract says that your employer owns your patents they still have to give you a dollar. I have seen lots of framed one dollar bills with patent statements hanging on walls.

I wonder if that status is what allowed him out of jail. Work release is very common in minimum security jails. In other words he walked out on his own.

What version of XP, what service pac? What about Vista and OSX?
I know when I bought my new Mac the updates were over 500 meg. I use a wireless router but what would have happened if I had connected straight using an ethernet connection?
The web sites listed are not very useful either.
As someone who has owned Macs since the days of the Mac Plus I don't buy this Mac's don't get infected crap.
