Paypal not sure if its bargepole is long enough for crowdfunding

Responsibility

"PayPal has a responsibility to ensure [...] that consumers who contribute to these campaigns understand where their money is going."

No it doesn't. PayPal has a responsibility to send money exactly where I tell them to as soon as possible. The responsibility to educate users falls on the crowd source site / project. They have no more business sticking their beak in here than Visa has declining a payment because the food in my basket is unhealthy.

FAIL

Unfortunately

Most businesses are too busy doing business to get actively involved in lobbying. A stupid law is a stupid law. If 20 web developers had been asked about this law the stupidity would have become obvious & it wouldn't have gone though. It should be up to the law makers to get out of their office & speak to people & make sure there aren't serious holes in their logic.

Re: Oh, the hypocracy

It's even worse. When when I signed up to BT broadband they were advertising "Unlimited" data but when you get on the phone they tell you it's limited to 100GB. Outright lie basically. Pot, Kettle black.
