Re: Christian camps

One of the guys at my church used to run something that sounds like this for Scripture Union (http://www.livewires.org.uk/). Last I heard they were doing av, electronics and teaching them python but that was a few years back.

Re: Old News?

Post glacial rebound / isostatic rebound etc has been known about since the late 1800s. Based on the abstract and the CIFAR announcement, we're looking at a previously untested mantle model coupled with a simulation of the glacial isostasy (again no idea of the provenance on this) and an 'understanding of the geology' to see what they predict would happen. Honestly I'm surprised that this is novel, given mantle modelling must have moved on at least a little bit since the late 90s when I was at uni and I know the climate change and mantle specialists at my place were certainly interested in this line of questioning.

Re: Good riddance?

Yes all people of religious faith are complete mornons. None of us ever struggles to think beyond the myopic strawmen that you create to define us. Obviously, discrimination on the grounds of a personal belief system is utterly reasonable and you aren't a halfwit without the ability to empathise with people of slightly differeing viewpoints.

Whether anyone who would want to work with someone who is so obviously inflexible and unable to empathise with other people is another matter...

London train options

This is usually because TfL think it takes too long to walk down to the local station from there and that buses are magical beasts that run to precise timetables.
