Wow

I cant believe this still hasnt been fixed, I gave up an moved to Sky at least 6 months ago now after being told to wait an indefinate amount of time for the firmware upgrade to sort my problems out.

Never had a problem with Virgin before they bumped me from 30 to 60mb.

It's a shame as I dont get anywhere near as high a speed on Sky but at least its reliable, think it's died on me once in 6 months and I get strong Wi-Fi all over the flat, even in the garden.

Re: Go to surfthechannel.com and read his side of the story

I agree, after reading that my first thought was that there are obviously 2 sides to every story, and I'm sure parts of his have been over exaggerated due to his anger at the way his case was handled, but if even a coupe of things he says are true then I cant see how this case was ever bought to trial never mind finding him guilty.

Hopefully an appeal will be successful, no matter what you think of the man or the crime he has been convicted of, theres enough in his story to suggest it was a mis trial.

Worst CS ever

Some suggestions I recieved from the VM support team:

CS: Leave everything with the default settings, then when it does revert to default settings you wont have to change anything.

Me: What? Everytime I log into the stupid thing I get a warning saying I need to change my default passwords for security reasons. Are you telling me to ignore those?

CS: Yeah

CS: Buy yourself a wirless router and put it modem only mode. This should solve any issues

Me: Will you pay for a wireless router?

CS: No

Me: What if it doesnt work?

CS: You wil have to wait for the firmware update.

Me: When can I expect that?

CS: There is no date yet but we expect to begin Beta testing in the next few weeks.

So glad I didn't wait for this stupid update, spent months with 3 different cranky superhubs that ranged from reverting to default settings every day, rebooting every hour and giving me 3mb on a 60mb line. Was told the only fix would be this update and I would have to keep paying through the nose for an unuseable connection. Was a loyal customer of 9 years before this shambles but the way my case was handled put me off for a very long time

Getting a solid 20mb on Sky and haven’t had to touch the router since I set it up.
