*ahem*

Jay from VCE here... oh hai!

The preceding body of text deposited here makes 100% absolute perfect amazing crystalline sense that illuminates the unifying logic of our times... and the enjoined masses shall shout refrains to heap upon praise... assuming one does not have access to the wonders of Google search [1] [2].

So... yeah. That?

Re: I have a bridge to sell you....

Actually, with a Vblock you can use any of VCE's management & orchestration from partners: BMC CLM, CA PCA, etc. etc. as well as the stacks from EMC, Cisco, and VMware i.e. ITO, CIAC, vCD, etc. etc.

Also, you can't just "run any tech combo you want" because a Vblock is a product that was pre-engineered, pre-validated, and pre-tested both physically and logically.

Lastly, the "application level integration" and "advantages" when using a Vblock are why customers choose Vblock in the first place.

Exactly. VSPEX is another one could take. Consider the three paths that are common:

1) component level approaches (a DIY design)

2) VSPEX (a reference architecture)

3) Vblock (a product)
