I have an Asus transformer prime, it's a tablet and netbook all in one, I'm struggling to find how its inferior to an ipad. Perhaps it's the micro sd card giving me a combined 100Gb storage, or the fact that I can customise my keyboard and just about anything else I care to customise. Seriously give me one thing that the ipad is better at, just one becuase unless you are a fecking moron the UI on the android is actually far superior to Apple.

Sorry but can someone tell me why everyone is so negative about Windows 8 when it hasn't even been released yet. If it builds on Windows 7 then I predict it will be a very good OS.

The incessant anti microsoft mantra is almost as tedious as the unconditional Apple lovein.

Are you guys genuinly suggesting that this is squeesing business, $4000 for the datacentre version? That is peanuts to any company. Windows is stil considerably cheaper to run in terms of support, staff etc than any other os. All I see as as SQL Server DBA is the market growing and growing at the expense of Oracle which has become the most hideous bloatware in later versions and is so much harder to administer, typically you need twice as many Oracle DBA's as you do SLQ Server DBA's for the same amount of Databases.

a) What in particular needs fixing in Windows, personally I find Windows 7 a far more stable and faster OS then MacOsx.

b) Why would he drop Windows8 when it will unify all devices mobile and desktop. Kind of what Apple are also trying to do by the way.

c) Are you joking Windows is far more configurable than MacOsx, including that thing that makes it practical for Business, group policy.

d)Again, are you being serious, Apple are far nastier than Microsoft these days with their endless lawsuits and monopolistic practices.

I think you'll find that the pc boom was more or less instigated by Gates, something which has made microsoft the massive and powerful company it is today. Apple will not be around for ever, as soon as something cooler comes on the market they'll fade away, it's happened before and will happen again. Microsoft have been far shrewder branching into the business world and also the gaming world and creating a solid base for itself, so that it's immune to passing fads and fashion.
