Hi - While you're here, can I interest you in a small electronic cat image... Very reasonably priced...

Hello, Dixons Carphone? Yep, we're ringing from a 2015 handset. Profits down 60%, eh?

Re: All electric?

If you added a heat pump - you'd only be looking at about one quarter of the # of gas KWH to add to your electricity load ...

You'd still need to think about the car.

But in my ideal world of near infinite nuclear electricity from Thorium (or whatever !)..

I think making liquid fuels from electricity makes more sense - since the distribution network for liquid hydrocarbon fuels is extant.

Sad Face - 'coz we've got brilliant ideas and debate on this forum - but I feel no one with power to effect change is listening.

Bluetooth 3.5mm adapter

Hi - Basically - I just use this "Samsung HS3000 Bluetooth Stereo Headset - Black" there's a number of similar devices.. It came with a pair of headphones - I've plugged in my trusty Shure's and it syncs with phone or PC for voice calls - but primarily music..

Also - I plugged it into a JBL iPod dock - c.1996 and made it Bluetooth enabled !

As a Mouse-o'phobe - I think the Win key is excellent.. I've been using alt-tab for c.20 years... and on Win 7 Windows Key, plus TAB is awesome. When I built a hackintosh post Win-7 I realised their UI was really out of date and tired looking..

I'm looking for a file on XP - Windows Key and E and I'm exploring.

I guess I'll be enjoying TIFKAM -> Might stick it on the PC over the weekend.

Bag Selection.

I see you have a unique issue with cramming things in.

I walk in all weathers about 30 minutes each way, what I'm looking for is waterproof-ness and waist and chest straps,

This is what I chose...

I don't see the waist and chest straps on the Wenger bags, though I admin I only had a cursory look.

Re: Emergency Services

Sounds a tiny bit like the plot from an Oceans X film... Take down the airwave or take the manager of that bank (Casino etc) off the air and then they can't call for help.

On the subject of call for help - what about someone who couldn't call for an ambulance or the police... Would they have a case ? or are the T&C's sufficiently wide when you take a mobile contract that paucity of coverage / service is not covered...

But then do they have a Duty of Care to their customers ?

Would it be possibly during a court case to demand the details of what did happen (same goes for RBSwest)
