Forget Flash – content is king

George McIntosh

What story?

Flash can be content. I hate Flash as much as the next guy, but pretending it doesn't count as content is missing the point somewhat. But really, what's the point in this story? Content may be king, but content nobody can find is a bit pointless really.

"Recent" problems?

So nobody got stabbed up until very recently, then? The notion that youth violence and knife crime is a recent development is ludicrous

Not rubbish at all

re: "Im sorry, but "The police told me to wipe the pictures of a crime off my phone" What utter rubbish"

Not in the least bit rubbish. The exact same thing happened to my girlfriend's father. Told by police to keep a video diary of vandalism by neighbours kids, then told to delete it because the father complained about the "paedo next door videoing my kids"

Driller Killer unleashed on UK public

Not even very nasty

Driller Killer was never really a video nasty anyway. Anyone who's seen it can tell you that. The violent scenes are few, far between and not in the least bit graphic, there's virtually no blood, either. It's a film about someone having a nervous breakdown. I bet it wouldn't have even been noticed by the BBFC if it wasn't called "Driller Killer"

Mis-pricing goods doesn't oblige the retailer to sell the goods at that price. You offer to buy goods at a certain price, and the retailer is free to accept that offer or not

RE: truth in advertising

Not all bands are in a constant tour-record schedule. 'Zep haven't released any new material for longer than 4 years, so presumably their adverts have to be silent. And how can you tell from a recording what a band will be like live? In my experience - hundreds of gigs - you can't. Maybe the TV Karaoke brigade sound *suspiciously* like their recordings when playing live, real musicians follow a somewhat different pattern
