Calm down and relax. TIFKAM is perfectly usable, it just isn't the interface people are used to.

Just the same way that Linux users have been able to change their UI, so can windows users. And if you don't like TIFKAM, then use another one, but TIFKAM itself is fine.

For IM'ing. It might be great for free VOIP, but for instant messaging it's just awful. So, like just about everyone I know, I'm now using Facebook even more.

While the Facebook desktop app isn't perfect, it's a darn sight better than Skype for IM...

Connect virtually any modern viewer to your TV (PC/PS3/Whatever) and you can watch TV using the internet. And you are still watching it on a device called a television. Not really much difference...

This is to a large extent true, but for this to work, the content needs to be available legally at least as fast as the downloadable shows.

You must live in a country that has decent 3g then.

I live in London where T-Mobile, Orange and O2 are all useless for the kind of consistent data transmission required for VOIP.

Because if you have a battle.net account, then you should also have an authenticator.

If you don't, then the biggest problem isn't the lack of case-sensitivity.
